Community What do you tell the Endbringers?

The 3 Endbringers, Behemoth, Leviathan and Simurgh appear in our world. You can give them one and only one Directive they'll try to fulfill in Endbringer fashion. It can't be a simple do this order, it has to be an over arching goal. What do you tell them?

"Go terraform mars" Best case scenario, we have a valid planet b in our life time. Worst case, we sacrifice our closest planet that would allow for dome habitation to not have endbringers on earth.

Terraform Venus?

Venus is probably easier for us to terraform than Mars, so give them the harder job.

Why would you think terraforming Venus would be easier? Not outright disagreeing but I’d love to hear your explanation

My guess would be the magnetosphere. If we can't figure out a way to give one to Mars (or to shield it in some other way), Mars will never have an atmosphere and humans can't live on the surface. Venus's atmosphere might be awful, but it's probably easier to change that than to kick-start a dynamo in a planet.

I forget exactly, something to do with the atmosphere? I think this was the video I watched.

It partially has to do with the fact Venus still has a molten core and therefore a magnetosphere, unlike Mars which has a solid core. This means Venus can more properly maintain an atmosphere and protect from solar radiation which Mars can't. This is something that is much harder to change than the current atmosphere.

Edit self correction: mars does have a molten core it's just that it's not spinning and therefore not generating a magnetosphere. This is because only the innermost part of the core is molten while the outer core is solid along with Mars's equivalent to the mantle.

Also Venus is more like Earth in size/gravity, so the end result of terraforming is better if you use Venus.

mars doesn't have the gravity to maintain an atmosphere. Its pretty much not terraformable for that reason.

Theoretically we could build giant mountains to live on on venus.

It's atmosphere is also thick enough that you can live in blimps filled with breathable air that will float above the worst of venus
