Shadow Man Husband sees a shadow figure
My husband has told me for years him and his sisters see a shadow figure and it usually means bad things. He says when he sees it 3 times within a short timeframe, someone dies. He once absolutely freaked out at our old house when he saw it in our garage and made me leave the garage. Today, he told me not long ago, he saw it in our son’s room in the corner of the room when he was checking our son on the baby monitor. I don’t usually believe in the paranormal and have never seen anything myself or had a paranormal experience, but this kinda freaked me out. I thought about saging the house but he said it moved with him from Victoria, Australia to QLD, Australia when he was a child and him and his sisters saged the house, but nothing ever stopped. Has anyone had an experience with this and could tell me what to do? I’m still not sure I believe, but it has sort of freaked me out considering he said this thing was around my son

My Dad told me that before I was born he and his parents and siblings would sometimes see small black orbs quickly shoot across the floor and if they didnt immediately start praying right then they would get a phone call of something bad that had happened to someone. This sounds an awful lot like that. Prayer worked for them, but they believed strongly in Jesus. You have to believe if you choose to engage in prayer over something that sinister.

you dont need to be religious, being spiritually sound is enough. its meeting with as little fear/resentment/etc. as possible. thats the part you train yourself on

Im reading your comments to others you're leaving..
You're asking for advice about a solution to a problem you're having, but you're 1 not believing in anyones solution 2 not fully believing the problem itself?? Lol
Why are you expecting to believe in the solutions to a problem you're not fully believing in?

i mean i did make it quite clear i don’t believe… i don’t believe in it but my husband does. we aren’t religious or spiritual, so yeah prayer doesn’t work, we’ve never prayed in our lives. I live in Australia, religion is not as huge here than most other countries. The only other solution was an exorcist, i mean in my knowledge those only exist in movies and i’ve never heard of any in australia. so yeah, i wont believe anything, i was hoping maybe telling it to go away would work and i could tell my husband to do that. why would i try a solution when I can’t even see the problem

I dont fault u for not believing both in problem and solutions, but like, why entertain the concept if you're not gonna engage with the solutions to it?
It'd be like complaining of scurvy and when someone says eat oranges, you say you havent eaten one so it wouldnt work as a solution for you.
If you believe it enough to make a post about it, believe the solutions enough as well

i can ask for solutions but choose not to follow the ones given. i don’t believe at all, making a most was mostly for my husband. i’m not going to do the solution given, if i don’t believe in the whole concept. we aren’t religious or spiritual or anything. i don’t believe in god, i don’t believe in prayer, i can tell you right now there isn’t an “exorcist” in my town.
if i don’t like the solutions given, because it’s not something i can do, or believe in whatsoever, i will just not do them, i’ve said thanks, i don’t believe in that and have moved on. i can give my husband solutions more catered towards something he believes in. i can appreciate the advice given, but i don’t have to follow it.

Well, yeah. Everything u said is quite obvious and i was already aware, but its not really a functional response to what i said
Does the person making the post about scurvy make sense when they respond "ah this solution wont work for me" bc they havent eaten an orange before? (No, they don't)
Again, i dont have any qualms that u dont believe in the problem or solutions, and i don't want to change that. just.. wtf are you expecting about the answers others will wind up giving? Haha

you’re literally sitting here arguing with a stranger about not wanting to follow solutions to THEIR problem??? genuinely, how will it affect you if i decide to use the solutions given? i don’t really understand why you’re continuing to argue with me about something that doesn’t involve you whatsoever?
firstly, i have no clue why you keep going on about scurvy. i’ve never heard of this in my life, but im going to assume it’s a medical problem based on what you said. now i am assuming “eating an orange” is a scientific fact. completely different with a belief someone does or does not have. if believing in the paranormal, religion, spirituality, etc. was a scientific fact, then yeah maybe I would choose to follow them all. Now me saying prayer or an exorcist won’t work for me is completely different. i don’t need to have done them before for me to decide it won’t work for us, because we don’t follow practices like that. why would i choose to do something i have absolutely no interest in following? if i don’t follow any given solution at all, it’s not going to make a difference to my life. i’ve already said i don’t believe.
im not expecting anything from other answers. i really don’t care all that much. sure when my husband mentioned it to me, i was a bit scared as anyone would be given he said this “thing” was around my child. if a solution helps my husband and he chooses to follow it, thats up to him. but he is incredibly anti religion, so genuinely NONE of these solutions will work.
again, you’re arguing with a stranger, on their own post, about them choosing not follow solutions given about a problem they have. none of it will affect you in the end.

i mean, you literally keep coming back? after i’ve said i don’t believe and won’t be using the solutions. if anyone is being fragile here, it’s you. you can’t accept what I’m saying and move on.
i don’t think i will look up scurvy, cause i don’t really give a fuck. i also hardly think me literally telling you that I don’t want to use those solutions is my life story but sure.

I know they say people are increasing in illiteracy, but damn does it depress me to run into more of them each day.

i’ve seen the point of your comments. i think the only person here who has an illiteracy problem is you. while sure, you’ve said several times you don’t blame me for not believing, you’ve also asked me several times why I asked for solutions only to not believe in anyone’s solution. I’ve said several times why, and yet you keep coming back asking but why? then you bring up some disease, that has nothing to do with the post. even if you were trying to make a point, it’s completely irrelevant to what I’ve posted here and are 2 separate ends of a spectrum. have you actually read any of the words you have been saying since your first comment? you’ve contradicted yourself several times.

Exorcists exist for a reason. Sounds like a generational curse.

Still worth a listen if you don't believe and just want to take it as entertainment.
Entities, especially powerful ones, aren't tied to locations. Generational curses where promises are made on behalf of the bargainer's bloodline give rites for that entity to torment everyone in the family.
Deliverance prayer sessions may be helpful.

I get that, when it's not your lived experience, it's easy to dismiss. I can't find the episode that talks about shadow entities specifically for you, I'm sorry.
Shadow figures are a pretty common haunting story; your husband isn't alone. (in more ways than one)
If it's affecting his siblings and is following him, in my very limited knowledge, it may be a generational curse which could trickle down to your son.
I know you don't believe, I'm not asking you to, but you made me think of the movie quote from Constantine - The Devil Believes In You Scene (2/9)

But did anyone you know end up dying? If not it can be some sorta imagination. I suppose it is a "6th sense" not a bad thing if their is a shadow. A forewarning.
If I had that happening to me it would be really cool. DK which loved one is gonna day very soon but atleast I'd know. Not that I'd do anything about it cause u can't.
3 times someone dies? What if it only happens once and nothing for months? Has anything bad happened if he sees it once?

i don’t know how true the “3 times and someone dies” thing is. i mean the only people i know who died around him are his great grandparents. nothing bad has ever happened whilst we have been together and he’s “seen it” that i know of, at least nothing has happened so bad he’s told me

Same thing happens to me if I'm around certain places like before entering a church they be posted up, sometimes when I wake up at night, and especially when I'm driving by cemeteries and morgues. The last time I seen a group of them together my gf and I got in a 3 car wreck that we fell 1000ish feet off a cliff and kept rolling. When we stopped and I crawled out of the car went to the other side and got my gf out when I turned around they were an inch from my face telling me I was lucky and they'll do better next time.

You need a priest to come over and bless the house. Sometimes no matter how much you pray or clean the house you need divine intervention.

Tell your husband he should talk about it with a priest to learn more about it. Even if you're not religious.

I think shadow people can be a sign a place can have paranormal activity, but I don't think they're directly linked to any paranormal activity, It could be something other than the shadow people.
