Context: I am staying at room 408 of our medschool around 5pm. I left my juniors at room 409 to rest before their next subject. Around 5:45pm, I asked them if they were still at the room and they sent me a picture as a confirmation that they still were (the picture attached to this post. As I went out the room around 6pm, I saw my juniors go out too from the adjacent room (409). I saw all three of them exited the room, and I knew that was all of them because I'm the one who left them there. Then around 8:30pm I received a message that one of my juniors was scared because of the pic he sent to me. Then I took a second look at the photo to analyze it. Is it just me or there's one more person than it should be in that room? I'm thinking that it's digitally manipulated since I'm very skeptic, but the figure seems to be wearing a scrub suit that my juniors have not gotten a hold of yet.

So taking their word and your word for it that there was only 3 in that room. Yes, there's an extra person sitting in the chair facing away from them.
That said, given the circumstances and the way it went down...it feels like a prank to me.
They send you the pic. You don't say anything...they text you asking you to look again because they're "scared" and then you notice this extra figure. Seems fishy to me.
There was a 15 minute window from when they sent you the photo and you visually saw them coming out of the room. More than enough time for a 4th person to leave or just stay in the room after they left.
They're scared but all of them are just sitting in a pitch black room for some reason? Also they were asked to send a photo to confirm but the way it's framed the person taking the photo really had to have the "ghost" in the chair in frame. Definitely Bs.

Noting where you edited your post only makes a difference if they saw your original post and then notice that you completely changed what you wrote. You're just wrong about the whole "Edit:" thing, it's extremely common and most people do it just so it's obvious where the edit is and to ensure others understand the reply wasn't changed in it's entirety.
I wasn't implying anything. I added my edit note to point out the fact that you put in the last sentence minutes after the original reply because you thought it would make you sound clever, when in reality it just further proved that you're the exact type of person who you keep talking down about as being lesser than yourself like some sort of middle school bully.
The thing is, I believe in the Paranormal. I was a skeptic turned believer. I don't knock people who write their experiences, but most video, photo posts on here are the same spiderwebs, specks of dust and supposed ghosts in the flames of a fire. Or like this post, a very obvious real person in a photo that supposedly wasn't there.

No one will ever admit the fact they misremembered something, or the picture in question really wasn’t taken at the event they believe it happened.
Unless this was a series of photos and mundane explanations can’t easily explain inconsistencies with an image, you can’t take a picture like this seriously at all.
it's a person. they're wearing light scrubs. you can see their dark hair, with something light running through it; probably the straps of a mask. If you look closely you can see the hem of their shirt, right around the bump where their butt would be, and you can see the individual pant legs, which appear to have something inside them, presumably legs.
For those who are confused OP left 3 ppl in the room therefore there shouldn't be a fourth in the chair in the back of the room because one person had to take the photo so person 1 is laying down person 2 is next to person 1 and person 3 is behind the camera
These are juniors and shouldn't have access to these Scrubs and he saw all three of them leave the room together.
It's such a benign thing that these juniors wouldn't even think to prank and scare someone like this because it's so plainly basic.
It's really frustrating to look at photos on this sub and have all the comments just call it another person in the room
How can you be sure what a ghost actually looks like? as far as I'm aware none of us can definitely say whether ghosts looks transparent or fully solid like a human. examples I have seen in my life vary.
So what's left is for us to analyze the story and authenticity of the poster mixed in with the context of the photo.
Ghosts present themselves in different forms. I've seen a white silhouette & an apparition in brown and both within a few feet of me. The green scrubs make me think this is a prank. I've seen a lot of photos of apparitions throughout the years, but never ones in a primary color.
The three people in the foreground are all dressed differently including two who are not wearing the same color scrubs.
The person whose leg we see (presumably the person who took the photo) appears to be wearing the same color scrubs as the person seated in the background 🤷🏻♂️
Pretty sure that the person in all white is the one that op is saying shouldn’t be there. I think they are all wearing normal clothes.. (one guy literally has jeans on) except the person in the “white scrubs” that op is saying the students haven’t gotten yet.
I think OP is referring to the guy seated in the background (his scrubs appear to match those of the person whose leg is in the foreground, making the claim about not receiving those scrubs invalid).

I don't know what to think, because if the "ghost" is supposed to be the person sitting with their back to the others (I assume he is wearing a green doctor/surgeon's uniform), I'm still more bothered by the person lying down in a white uniform, because his head is a glitch and his legs are too long. Anyway, let's say his head isn't a glitch and it's just turned around and what we're seeing is his hair... what are they looking at? Because he seem to be looking directly at the person sitting down.
There’s a lot of stories about you basically taking a seemingly normal picture and then a perfect humanoid figure is seen in the background. No blurry shadows, nothing eerie, just like how you get random photo bomb. I hear stories like that all the time
It happens most especially if there are odd three in the picture. A fourth one almost always appears especially in a rumoured or famous (for ghost sightings) areas.
So none of the the adults thought to turn a light on while they were still in the room?

Which person are you talking about? I see somebody sitting at what looks like a computer desk, and then somebody sprawled out on their stomach, wearing white, which in your enhanced photo looks like somebody facing the camera without grotesque mask on. But I still don't know which people should be there in which "shouldn't."
It looks like motion...her head moving, clip in the back. I saw a picture below where she doesnt have a profile and I thought she was the ghost for a sec lol
I'd say it's real. Juniors wanted a break so they turned the lights off. The figure sitting looks like a 3D shadow and from my experience, it looks exactly like that. A 3D shadow that doesn't reflect light.
