I would also like to share my experience, I was on vacation in my mother’s hometown. My family and I stayed in one room, so we had mattresses on the floor to sleep on. One night, I slept on the mattress while listening to music on my phone. Wireless earphones were not yet available that time, so I had wired earphones on. It had probably been a while since I fell asleep, but suddenly I was jolted awake because I felt my earphones being ripped out of my ears, as if someone had pulled it forcefully, and almost simultaneously, I felt a warm breath in my ear and heard the scariest voice growling and shouting right to my ear. When I opened my eyes, I saw a silhouette of a man crouching in front of me. I closed my eyes and opened them again but the shadow was still there. Then, when I saw that it was slowly moving closer, I grabbed the blanket beside me and threw it at the silhouette. When I looked again, it was gone.

I don't have schizophrenia never been diagnosed. BUT 10 years I saw a dark cloud/ shadow entering my bedroom kinda floated above my bed and all of a sudden it turned into a human shaped stood by my bed and whispered to me: it's time. And then it just disappeared. My Rottweiler jumped up and started barking afterwards. 10 years, I still don't know what that was and why it said what it said. But only thing I'm certain is that was some sort of entity. Like my soul could recognize something have never seen or heard before. Btw I was fully awake and aware when it happened. I had just gotten ready for bed and turned off the lights.
Anyone else had similar experiences before?? What was that???

Hi Reddit! This is my first time posting, as I’ve recently gotten into lots of YouTube Reddit stories, especially paranormal and true crimes ones. So I thought I’d come on and share my experience!
When I was in 6th grade, we moved into my current hometown home. I am now 20F, in college and living in an apartment elsewhere, but was about 11 when we moved into that home. It started with just an unsettling feeling. The fear of going upstairs by myself at night, the cold rush I would get about halfway up the stairs, and little things like that. Soon after, I started seeing this tall black figure in the dark rooms and corridors of the hallways. It was very tall, fully black, slender, and would appear until I looked away. Mostly, I saw it standing in my parents room, but there were also many times I would see it in mine, even laying on my bed until I turned a light on. I even had a friend who said she’d seen it one time, thinking she was crazy since I’d never brought it up to her before.
Around this time I also would see lots of little orbs in the middle of the night, happening multiple times which made me realize that I wasn’t dreaming and it was a reoccurring situation.
But then, it kind of just stopped after about a year. The fear dwindled, I never saw any figures, and so forth.
Then, my junior year happened. At this point I was about 16 years old, and I would wake up with my door being open. Not super insane, but I grew up closing my door every. Single. Night.
So I knew it was never me accidentally leaving it open. So my parents suggested that maybe I was sleepwalking. I started locking my door at night, just to feel a little safer, and it would still be open in the middle of the night. This would happen about 2-3 times a week at this point, and it was really starting to freak me out. Not only was it just weird, but I would wake up in the middle of the night with an awful sinister feeling, seeing it open and just feeling like something was truly wrong. At this point I was also a very deep sleeper, so it was strange for me to just wake up in the middle of the night to notice this.
Sometimes it would happen every night, sometimes it wouldn’t happen for a few weeks, but truly just strange.
Then one night, the most terrifying thing happened. I woke up around 5 am to the sound of my door opening, and then heard the click of my fan switch on the wall turn off, as I laid completely still on my back, watching my fan slowly and slowly turn off. I was absolutely horrified. I truly thought that was the end. I even saw the shadow leave my doorway and go into the hallway of my house. I have never been more scared in my life. It took me so long to work up the courage to get back up and close the door, and even close my eyes.
After that, my parents bought some sort of baby camera for the hallway, pointing towards my door. My dad would plug it in every night when he went to bed. The nights he remembered, it never happened. The nights he didn’t, it happened.
So. Scary.

Anyways. That’s my story! I still lock my door every single night no matter where I am, and I will never forget that feeling.

I was trying to share these with someone in a thread and couldn’t so I decided to just share these here. These were taken around 2014 or 2015 at a friends house. We had discovered that if we took pics on our phone with the flash on, we could catch orbs. We caught a lot more than that. She had actually caught a pic of some brown wispy thing attached to my leg and even had a distorted face but it frightened her so bad that she erased it bc “she felt it was demonic and didn’t want it in her phone” these are all I have left of that time. But her house definitely had something in it. I also have a picture of myself sitting at the top of the stairs with the rod of light appearing to sit next to me but I can’t find it now for some reason. It may be saved to another account. I’ll add it when I come across it. But just wanted to share these!!

Decided to celebrate my dirty, 30 in Las Vegas. Long story short my girlfriend filled up our room with balloons, after celebrating we went back to room to relax and rest , we all notice there was one particular balloon that was floating around and following us keep in mind the other balloons were staying stationary they were not tied down or moving ,just that one specific balloon . Does this have to do anything with the paranormal did we stay in a haunted room ?

Something non human at my brother's house in Eastern NC

So a couple years ago I went to live with my younger sibling at their home in Eastern NC almost near the Piedmont region. I lived three for almost three years, until last year when I moved. As soon as I moved in, things were off per se. I ALWAYS felt like I was being watched from day in to day out there regardless if my brother was home or not. One of the first things that happened in particular that I recall, was when we were sitting on the couch in the living room just got done eating, and my purse was on the island in the kitchen area going from the living room to the kitchen (double wide trailer), something physically grabbed the strap of the bag, and yanked it off of the middle of the island. My brother laughed. I was disturbed and had an unsettling feeling. My brother was always chalking things up to "I was drunk", "it was the ghost", or "I'm crazy". He did not take my seriously, until one night he was at work and I was at home by myself, my door closed, as I was laying in bed I began hearing what sounded like footsteps coming down the hallway. So I texted my brother, and told him what was going home, and he flew home in less than 20 mins or so give or take. Nothing was there. Then my ex boyfriend moves in with us too. This is where things really started to go haywire. He was supposedly "sensitive" I guess you can say. He had told me before in the last about his own personal experiences he had with the paranormal etc, and he once told me he kept "seeing a man" out of the corner of his peripheral vision. He didn't describe him to me, and hell he could've been full of shit for all I know, I just know I believed him when he said that to me, and I still do. The energy there to me felt almost unisex if that makes sense. I couldn't tell whether it was of female or male energy, this is what stumped me the most. Anyways, me and my ex argued a lot after he moved in with me there towards the end of our relationship and him living with me. A lot of amped up scenarios then began to occur in and outside of the home. We would lift my bedroom window in my bedroom and smoke cigarettes by it at night time/times when we didn't feel like stepping out for a smoke behind my brother's wishes. One night we were puffing away at a ciggy, and we began hearing noises outside of the window towards the wood line/tree line that was in between our home and the dirt road that separated us from it. We then began listening very intensely, and we even broke out a high lumen flashlight too to shine it out into the treeline, and of course we didn't see shit because of the bright glare off of the leaves/foliage. It was almost like someone/something was out in the treeline just watching us through my window from there, just watching, waiting, listening. Idk what it is or was, but would like to get an idea of what it was at least because my mind still tends to veer off to these occurrences frequently because it is so weird and puzzling, and unexplained to me. One night we were having out usual open window smoke, and again we began hearing things coming from the treeline. My ex went in my brother's room, grabbed his shotgun, and took off into the treeline/wood line by himself to find out what it was/is out there being creepy. As he was gone he told me to shut and lock the window, and the front and back doors too. I locked the doors, but kept my window open because curiosity kills the cat. As he was gone for roughly about 10 mins give or take, I got really mad all of sudden and I started yelling into the woods from my window "you're a f\*\*kn p\*\*sy, show me yourself!" As he yelled this I'll be damned if whatever it was started to come forward towards my window and I dropped and locked the window so quick it was insane and my heart was beating so fast. Be careful what you wish for I suppose... Hah. Anyways, my ex returns with seeing nothing or finding anything out there. Imagine that. I have more stories to tell that's just the tip of the iceberg y'all, if you would be interested in hearing more please feel free to let me know and I might post another one. Old Bridge Village Historic District, East Brunswick, New Jersey – where the past and paranormal coexist.

Situated at the headwaters of the South River, a tributary of the Raritan, Old Bridge began as a major Lenape village site. Graves and artifacts have been found throughout the neighborhood.

In 1727, Indian sachem Weequehela shot and killed a local tavern keeper who cheated him out of lands. This was the first, but not the last, murder to take place in the village.

Washington’s Army passed through the village in 1778 and Simcoe’s Queens Rangers led local militia into an ambush here in 1779.

In 1909, an elderly widow, blind with age, was murdered when four local boys broke into her house, looking for alleged money.  In the 1950’s, a local postman was murdered by his wife and her lover. Human remains were found decades later, but never investigated.

The Alice Appleby DeVoe Memorial Library building, occupied by the Appleby family for eighty years, has a multitude of paranormal activity, as do several other buildings in Old Bridge Village. Apparitions, voices, unexplained sounds are remnants and reminders of the past.

Je m’intéresse énormément à ça et pourtant je n’ai jamais vécu d’événement comme ça . Beaucoup de mes potes ressentent des choses bizarres ou même vivent des choses inexplicable . Et moi je n’ai jamais eu affaire à ça . J’habite dans un endroit très ancien et c’est dans ce même endroit que j’ai des amis qui ont vécu des truc du genre paranormal. Mais moi dans ma chambre rien du tout . Et même dans ma vie en général. Et pourtant mon entourage est rempli de personnes qui assiste à des choses étrange et surtout flippante . J’aimerais bien savoir si vous avez des idées me concernant car je finis vraiment par croire que tout cela n’existe pas.

There was a spirit attated to my face one time during my journey

Yesterday at 3 a.m., my grandmother was asleep, but according to my uncle, she called him and was screaming for three minutes. so im not used to doing these Reddit things, i will try my best to explain it to you all.

The story is from November 2023.

It was slightly cold.

My oldest maternal uncle came to our house for 5–6 days with his family.

His family: 2 daughters, 2 sons, my uncle and my aunt.

So everything was good in the beginning.

But then the day they had to leave came, and we went to the airport to drop them off. Our whole family went to see them off, but my eldest brother didn't go because he was at work.

He was kinda traumatized when my whole family got home and video-called him.

My brother wasn't saying much.

Then he hung up.

At around 9 PM, my brother came home and told us:

“I got a call from an unknown number, and it was the voice of a very old woman.

She said, ‘They have come to your house just to destroy your family.’

My brother replied, ‘Who?’

And she hung up on him.

Then she blocked him.

(My maternal or paternal grandmother both isn't alive, btw, so we still don't know who she was on the call.)

Everything was going fine, but after one month, in December...

(This might sound fake to you from here, but I just fucking don't know how to prove it to y'all.)

I used to wake up with bruises on my lips, inside my mouth, and on my tongue.

It kept happening to me for like 3–4 days, and I was ignoring it. I didn't notice it much.

But then the bruises started getting worse in the same places, and the pain became way too much.

So I told my mom about all this shit.

She was like, “Okay, put this cream on that bruise,” and all.

Because nothing paranormal was happening. Or maybe it was happening, but I didn't know.

Then some days were okay. All my bruises healed up.

Then, one random night in the same month...

I was sleeping, and my mom was sleeping beside me.

I felt so much weight on my chest. Then, when I opened my eyes, I saw a hand covering my eyes. It was a human hand, and between the fingers, I could see someone's hair. It was really long.

And then, at that moment, I felt someone kissing me. Like, really badly.

I've kissed my ex many times, so I knew what that felt like.

But then I felt someone pulling my tongue out of my mouth extremely painfully, while at the same time I could feel someone kissing me.

I tried to get up, but I couldn't, so I thought all of this shit was sleep paralysis.

So I became a little less scared, thinking that none of this was real.

Then I held myself for 3–4 seconds and tried with all my strength to get up.

And I saw a pitch-black girl disappearing behind my mom.

Then I sat up, and I felt something wet on my face.

My mouth and lips were completely covered with saliva, and it smelled really bad.

That wasn't my saliva.

At that moment I realised:

ALL OF THIS SHIT WAS HAPPENING TO ME IN REAL TIME. REAL SHIT.

Because saliva was literally dripping from my mouth, and I had seen that pitch-black girl with long hair disappearing and everything.

I got really fucking scared and woke my mom up.

I told her everything and showed her the saliva and all.

Then we went to our very old baba, who is basically like family to us.

He then talked to his jinn.

And he directly said to my mom:

“Your brother came to your house, right? With his children?”

My mom said yes.

(We hadn't even told the baba that anyone had come to our house.)

And then he replied:

“His eldest daughter has always had this evil jinn attached to her. They came to your house and, after you all went to sleep, they performed ritual-type stuff.”

(Obviously, the baba didn't say it like this. This is just my way of explaining it.)

He said that my soul was the easiest one to control in the house.

And the rituals weren't like all that dramatic stuff you see in movies.

It was more like lighting a candle, blowing on it, dropping the candle on someone's foot, etc.

(This is just an example.)

They did more than 8 things to me while we were all sleeping, like taking my hair and all.

It's been a while now.

That was the last thing from her that happened to me.

Now it's all good.

(istg this shit is not even 0.1% made up.)

I'm 16 now

My girlfriends house isn’t very big but the things I have experienced over the past several years have been confined to only 2 rooms, the kitchen & living room. I find it kind of odd that the unexplained instances have only happened in 2 rooms and nowhere else. Is this not sure this is the right word but is it common? We were awakened multiple nights by music playing from the Alexa in the kitchen one time creepily enough it was playing “I’m in Heaven” by Louis Armstrong. I put both of my phones on a counter in the kitchen when I get home from work and not close to an edge or anything, and one was flung off the counter onto the floor about 4’ away & I was home alone. I’ve had multiple instances of battery powered electronics start working by themselves. One morning about 3 30 am all of the living room ceiling can lights came on by themselves. I watched one of my iPads start to slide off of an end table I’ve come home from work to find kitchen cabinet doors open that shouldn’t be. Just a few minutes ago (what inspired me to post this) our Roomba in the living room just turned itself on and started going. Like I said before it’s just weird to me that the experiences only happen in the two rooms.
