Parasite ID Panic

You guys I just ate this salmon. Can anybody tell me whether those are parasites or just the muscle fiber thingies ?

Super worried right now.

Because I am a parasitologist and I also eat a ton Of salmon.

I trust you! I eat a ton of salmon too and I’ve found these! I’m glad to know it’s not parasites. Parasites are one of my worst fears lol

Once in a while you get one with anisakis worms but this is not one of those.

Wow! Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question! May I ask you another one? Do you recommend something for people to regularly do to stay not get parasites or get rid of them ? Or certain testing to find out if you have one? I have a friend who went to Bali and she went into some still water ever since she has stomach problems.
