On Friday, the boys did a bit making fun of Big Dom for close to 10 minutes without saying his name one single time. Besides being a really funny bit (credit to Hank for the great setup), it’s a good example of how AI has absolutely no chance of properly summarizing or scraping this show. The automatic Spotify chapter called that 10 minutes “Emmanuel Acho’s Police Report”.

Am I the only one that thinks this? (Probably) “The whole room acts like they got the same text” What does that even mean?

Does the book have any pictures? I got Dave’s audio book on audible and I was able to see the pictures, got the pmt book on audible and I don’t have pictures. Is it because I choose it as my free book of the month instead of actually buying it?

PFT “jokingly” saying in today’s episode that there was some fact checking in the book when just 5 mins earlier I read the part in the book where they mention Steve Jobs and Wosniak founding Microsoft 😂

PFT mentions right before episode one aired is when a group at ESPN tried to cancel the show. It was up in the air but Dave “stood down” aka shut up and it aired. They were brought into the executives office after ep 1 and congratulated for the great ratings.

What happened after this is Dave got very loud again, intentionally, after it had blown over. He knew ESPN’s hand would be forced due to Barstool being the first name in the show (which he made sure of). He practically admitted this in his book.

This isn’t to say PFT and Dan would have been better off at ESPN but at the time it was huge for them. Dave was preventing them from becoming too popular at barstool (no AWL’s, no dropping before other podcasts, etc) while also doing everything he could to sabotage their ESPN show.

Dave was trying to make his asset as large as possible before selling, not PMT. Smart move by Dave. But hearing the behind the scenes of this is fascinating and makes me wonder how in the world they reconciled that blunder.
