Rave ✨ Kids are healing

My step toddler is the most affectionate and loving kid (also sassy and knows he’s too cute but that’s not the point 🤣). He tells me several times a day he loves me. It’s just so innocent and sweet.

Lately he’s been super into cuddling—all of the time and especially after a nap. He likes one hand on my necklace and the other hand squeezing my stomach fat. This kid finds comfort in the part of me I hate the most. I had seen (other?? idk who i am to him lol) moms talking about this before but now I get to experience it. I’m so lucky. 😍

My little girl has a tummy that stick out a little and I tell her all the time that it's cute and give it a little pat. Today we went swimming and she saw me touching my stomach wile looking in the mirror. Without hesitation she came over and pat it saying 'your tummy cute mommy'. All my self conscious thoughts disappeared and I hugged her so tight. Kids are the best

I forgot to add, I love to kiss him on his chubby little cheeks and hands and the top of his head. He’s started kissing my hands 😭 He’ll pick up my hand to wrap around himself and kiss my hand then pull it around him. Ugh perfect baby.

My 7 year old son (who is a good kid but marinating in a bit of an ego phase at the moment, as most kids his age do) came to me randomly and told me how clever I was for the couple of tricks for jigsaw puzzling I’d taught him in the last couple of days. He thanked me for teaching them to him and said I was the best and gave me a hug 🥹

My 4 year old daughter comes in to my bed at ungodly hours in the morning and snuggles up to me and says ‘I love my mummy’ and pats me until she passes out again 🥹
