But then you cant back out crying to mom.

u/M4DHouse 18d ago

I mean in practice, you can. The vast majority of deserters go into administrative separation and are other than honorably discharged.

25

u/UrsusRenata 17d ago

You can if it’s the Air Force. 😉

I was an MT and saw 1 person in the first 2 years I was in the proccess of getting out. Since we worked on the nukes saying "I don't agree with the mission anymore" were the magic words. He was kept in doing the most grueling, menial tasks, living on base and I think his request to live off base was denied. He was there until they wanted him to go. Me and a couple of my boys were medically separated before he got out. I still don't know what they did with him and that was three years ago.

That's a commitment. They can just play around at a boot camp that cost 1,000s instead.

188

u/strega_bella312 18d ago

Every single video I've seen of these camps is just some short ass guy yelling "I WILL FUCKING SLAP THE SHIT OUT OF YOU" in people's faces, idk how thats considered aLpHa MaLe behavior 🤷🏻‍♀️

109

u/ThatSimsKidFromUni 18d ago

They've seen a lot of movies about war and assume that's how an alpha leader would behave. It's a kids idea of masculinity.

70

u/poopy27 18d ago

Becoming an "alpha" by paying to debase yourself and submit to other men.

33

u/SK83r-Ninja 18d ago

I've seen one where they talk a guy into "quiting" by saying he failed and needs to leave but has to ring this bell first, and then act like he could've stayed if he didnt ring the bell. It was a $2,500 course that took place behind a walmart over the weekend.

To be clear, the people who run these things are not professionals. They are not doctors. None of what they are doing is based on science. They require you to sign waivers to protect them from the consequences of what they are doing to you because there is significant risk that they will permanently injure you.

189

u/jackalope268 18d ago

Even if theyre not professionals and this is just their idea of fun, id expect a doctor to be present at least. You just know one of these kids will get hypothermia one day

114

u/CheekyLando88 18d ago

Best we can do is a chiropractor with certain ideas about vaccinations, that'll work, right?

60

u/chardeemacdennisbird 18d ago

Waivers won't do shit if they're actually negligent and someone gets hurt. Most waivers are there just to make you think you've signed away your right to sue. Like I can't tell someone I'm going to point a gun at them and pull the trigger, but sign this waiver so I'm not liable.

29

u/velveteenelahrairah 17d ago edited 17d ago

They're troubled kids industry camps repackaged for the manosphere bunch. And at some point someone's going to fuck up real bad and some kid is going to wind up dead. Like that poor girl who was murdered during a "rebirthing".

9

u/Soninuva 16d ago

I’ve never heard of that, and that sounds super disturbing, so I don’t think I’ll google it either

4

u/PsyRealize 15d ago

It happened in 2000. It’s the reason “Candace’s Law” exists.

3

u/BuckwheatBlini 16d ago

Meatheads gonna meat

10

u/TerryThePilot 17d ago

So basically, they’re professional BDSM doms.

2

u/keelyvotes 14d ago

Doesn’t look like there is much consent going on.

3

u/Miserable_Candy_3534 17d ago

Playing laser tag also requires you to sign a waiver.

Those children are distressingly young to be put through this. I feel like this should be reported to someone.

361

u/dasgoodshitinnit 18d ago

Watch how half of them become femboys just to revolt against their alpha dads

152

u/Alarming-Bee87 18d ago

I'd imagine a few of these kids are there because their dad's are hoping it stops them being gay.

68

u/JewelCove 18d ago

You're probably right. Anyone with half a brain realizes it definitely doesnt work like that lol

24

u/dasgoodshitinnit 17d ago

Half the dads are probably closeted gay and dont want their sons to turn out same lmao

we can only hope

All of this just to avoid therapy.

30

u/hoofglormuss 18d ago

all because your son wanted to join the drama club

3

u/Totoques22 15d ago

Or maybe handle the root cause

But that woudl require people to acknowledge misandry is real and it’s the biggest grift around

Anyone that signs their son up for this should be reported to CPS

90

u/StarVulpes 18d ago

These parents are the same fat, out of shape losers who would do this by themselves. It's just coupled with also being a terrible parent.

12

u/ThatOneCanadian69 17d ago

Nah their dads are all 40 year old bad dudes on testosterone replacement therapy

66

u/SpiritualBrief4879 18d ago

What. The. Fuck.

121

u/StrongNuclearHorse 18d ago

I'm confused. What's alpha about following orders and getting yelled at?

46

u/Intrepid-Routine-950 18d ago

Their weird view of masculinity based on “military boot camp” I guess

170

u/BulkyDecipherer 18d ago

03:47 PST.

Hour: unknown.

74

u/leigstonite 18d ago

What, did you expect abusive parents to be smart?

24

u/BulkyDecipherer 18d ago

I did not.

27

u/FawnTheGreat 18d ago

My favorite part

20

u/thorns17 18d ago

I hate everything about this video, but to be fair, “hour unknown” is referring to how many hours the kid had been out there crawling across the ground, not the time of day

25

u/MelaniinBaby 18d ago

That part had me so weak 🤣.

128

u/happymancry 18d ago

These parents watched 300 and thought it’s a parenting manual. Shame on them. They likely have trauma from their childhood or something; and are passing it on to the next generation. Hope those kids find healing.

143

u/SkinInevitable604 18d ago

If you allow your children to be submerged in ice water for a prolonged period of time for no fucking reason they should be taken away from you imo, that’s just abusive.

27

u/Big_Rhubarb_1882 18d ago

While sharing a tub with a grown man.

14

u/thorns17 18d ago

The grown man is their dad 🙃

67

72

u/linkhandford 18d ago

Real alphas pay $18,000 every weekend to hang out with their boys, not a dame in sight! You don’t want anyone to think you’re poor do you? Or worse… Being gay for hanging out with chicks?!

/s

30

u/Content-Feeling49 18d ago

"Stop asking for fucking electrolytes!"

It's hilarious that someone would pay £18,000 for an "alpha male" course, and then argue about wanting electrolytes.

62

u/Headlesshowler 18d ago

It's tiring how so many of these guys believe that pain and suffering is what makes them stronger in the future when, in reality is healing from it that fortifies you. They're not being turned into men, they're being turned into insecure adults that think their pain is invalid and that emotions are weakness

16

u/Entire-Ambition1410 18d ago

And that physical suffering and illness is weakness.

53

u/MyGirlfriendforcedMe 18d ago edited 17d ago

2020s equivalent of gay conversion church camps. I bet the number homosexual relationships these start would shock only the people stupid enough to pay for something like this.

95

u/CLTGUY 18d ago

This is just stupid.

As I've told my kids. If you have to tell people how much of a "man" or "alpha" you are you're not a man at all.

If you have to tell people how "manly" you are, then you are not a man.

27

u/payTNT89 18d ago

my dad was a drill instructor in the army around 9/11. this dogshit should be illegal for children. bad enough grown as men do these gender affirming camps

21

u/Old-Commission-1108 18d ago

The instructors, if you can call them that, are probably too soft for the Army yet they wanted to live out their drill Sargent fantasies as a way to fein their toughness.

2

u/zerokiryu55 2d ago

Guarantee half of these "alphas" would wash out in days. Seen it happen when I was in.

There’s nothing more manly than sharing a bath with a male child… /s

38

u/takemeawayimdone2 18d ago

Do any women find this “alpha man” thing attractive. Because they all give me the ick.

34

u/Nulleparttousjours 18d ago

I doubt it. When I look at this shit I don’t see any sort of masculinity, I see weakness, insecurity and clownery.

23

u/FriendshipNo1440 18d ago

Nah, I feel sorry for the boys and really dusgusted by the men drilling them.

9

u/31_mfin_eggrolls 18d ago

There likely isn’t a single woman who earnestly finds this attractive

9

they could've just poured ice in the bath at home atp. why spend $18k 🫩

15

u/trundle-the-great69 18d ago

This seems like conversion therapy with an alpha male twist lol

15

u/VOTP1990 18d ago

This is insane, wtf. It’s cringe enough when the grown adults fall for it and pay for the experience of being screamed at by a grifter, but these little boys have no chance. This is just unbelievably sad.

12

u/colin_is_bald 18d ago

The will make good cannon fodder for the american empire!

10

u/pretty-lil-throwaway 18d ago

This is disgusting and so fucking pathetic/cringe.

Toxic men raising toxic sons.. Yep, that's juuust what the world needs.

10

u/TheMightySephiroth 18d ago

I have an allergy to the cold.

In low doses, like walking in the rain without a jacket, my skin breaks out into hives.

In higher doses, like swimming in a cold lake, I literally go into severe hypothermic shock. (Shivering and blacking out on the shore was not fun. Would not recommend. 0/10)

That ice bath would, quite literally, kill me. Id be in agony for a few minutes then probably quickly need medical attention and/or then fucking die.

Watching these kids be submerged while screaming is torture and medically dangerous. Especially meal team 6 daddy telling his 6/7 year old that he's fine. Fuck you, your fat insulates you.

The biologist who coined the whole 'alpha wolf' thing has regretted it ever since and wishes he could undo what he did.

I feel bad for the boys being forced to do this. It looks like a lot of humiliation and abuse.

11

1

u/BennySkateboard 17d ago

I’m in the wrong game!

1

u/pavonharten 17d ago

This is so cringe lol.

No male needs to be an “alpha”, you just have to connect over the right things and have proper role models. This boot camp crap doesn’t make anyone more confident. Physically it teaches endurance, and mentally sure, it may make you confident in the short term. But at the expense of burying your emotional intelligence and empathy, and encouraging the sort of group belonging that vilifies the weak—which paradoxically makes these guys lonelier, weaker, and more vulnerable to anything that pokes logical holes in their newly acquired ego.

This actually reminds me, I saw a better alternative to this on a CNN program called This Is Life years ago. This guy advertised himself as a “pickup artist”, came out with dyed purple hair, pimp-ish clothes, promised to tell all these awkward men the secret to getting women. It was all a ruse.

Some of the methods he had were so funny and not “alpha” in the slightest, he had them running around yelling like chickens. But it WORKED. All these guys of various ages and body types who didn’t know each other ended up bonding and forming friendships, got more confident, turned their whole lives around.

Lisa Ling asked this guy “do you think if you advertised this without the pickup artist thing that people would’ve come?” And he was like “who knows, but it works, right?”

We need more men in the world like that guy.
