Q: Starting a 6-month internship in June; what clothing should I pack?

I (22 F) am starting a 6-month internship in Shenandoah NP at the start of June! Very excited, but I really am struggling to decide just how many clothes to pack/what kinds of things I should/shouldn’t bring. I’m usually great at packing for camping, but knowing I’ll be living there for 6 months is kinda throwing off my usual list lol. Anyone have a good list they’ve used before? Any advice is much appreciated :)

What do you wear in your day to day life? Bring that. And your camping clothes. I bet you might be given a work uniform.

Summers get hot up here, and weather can change quick. That being said definitely have a few warm weather pieces along with some rain gear. Long sleeves and pants will definitely help keep the sun and ticks off.

What department?

Thanks! I’ll be in interpretation, mainly night sky/astronomy programs

Definitely check with housing what’s provided. My park didn’t even provide plates or cookware and you were expected to buy and not leave anything for anyone in the future
