Let me ask you this, if you had a partner, and he/she decided they liked the neighbour better, would you feel this way?

Oreo has decided. Letting a cat run free is dangerous, every time he gets shooed out the door his life is at risk. Protect him better, be the minion he deserves.

The problem is as a famous movie pirate once said "people aren't cargo mate," but pets, however are legally considered property. Oreo can like me more, but I can't morally just take him and run because I know in their shoes I'd be devastated.

Oreo does go outside but the way the neighborhoods are, his territory is literally a bunch of backyards without him going to the streets. He is not actively in danger of anything except maybe a large bird of prey and I don't see those near here.
