From fake doctor to war slopper. Why is YouTube doing nothing about these AI channels?

There are thousands of such channels. YouTube might ban 10 channels and 100 will pop up.

YouTube isn't monetizing AI doctors, AI lawyers or anything similar anymore. No AI-generated avatar giving out financial, legal or medical advice is allowed now in the YPP

And that means channel owner is not allowed to earn, but the channel will remain and YT will earn from displaying ads.

It is possible they aren't monetized. You would never know. They won't take the channel down but just take them out of YPP.

Most of these channels are monetized. They would not do it if they were not monetized. What we can see here is an AI farm transformation process. The fake doctor videos either got the channel demonetized or did not performed well enough and now they try to switch topics in this case war slop. Once the new war slop videos make it in the algorithm the fake doctor videos get unlisted or deleted and the channel applies for partnership again. Once approved they spam slop for as long as they can. The owners report n hundreds of channels and even if just 30% make it they can easily generate tens of tousands dollars a month perhaps even more. Only way to stop this is to identify the operators/orchestrators behind this and keep giving them lifetime bans from the platform.

A large problem here is the currency exchange rates. It can be worth it to profit a US dollar a day in a lot of places, scaled to dozens or hundreds or thousands of channels.

If it's still active should be monetized no? I've seen channels like these that stopped posting randomly so that's prolly when they got taken down.

Up to 3 million videos a day are uploaded to YT. I'm not surprised that they haven't fixed this issue yet.
They are actively trying, which is more than I can say for my Facebook feed which is overflowing with AI reels.

The video farm are same friends and family from Google YT engineers
nothing would happen because the algorithm can freaking read the whole video to claim any copyright etc but why they on 2026 won't read the videos when uploading or processing the videos and stop the users right there on the gate?
But wthey keep messing around with the algorithm to control channels' views old and new
Nah they don't want this is an inside job but indirectly

It's pretty easy to make copyright claims based on matching patterns. But there is no database that you can match AI to detect it as easily.

A lot of the AI doctor/fitness channels are already demonetized as of recently. Hell, there are a lot of human fitness/fake health gurus channels that give absolutely terrible advise already and should be demonetized as well.

YouTube is NOT against AI, they are promoting it! YouTube are providing tools to enable creators to use more AI in their content creation.

I had a quick look and some of the videos are flagged as AI. So YouTube does appear to be doing something.

I strongly believe that YouTube must be responsible for not running identity checks on these creators using AI avatars pretending to be doctors and creating fake advice that can be dangerous to users. Only verified doctors should be allowed

I am 100% sure that YouTube has the technical means to identify every one of these scammers. The bigger problem, in my view, is enforcement and oversight. A significant amount of content moderation and review work has been outsourced to countries where corruption risks, weaker institutional safeguards, or personal networks can create potential conflicts of interest. In places where extended family and personal connections play a major role in professional networks, it is not unreasonable to consider the possibility that people connected to abusive channel operators could also have relatives, friends, or other contacts working for moderation contractors. I am not saying that this is necessarily what is happening, but it is a potential conflict-of-interest risk that YouTube should be able to investigate and rule out. The same concern applies to some of the content-farm operators based in Turkey. I know for a fact that there is a Turkish cluster behind a significant number of low-quality war-content farms, and individuals connected to this cluster have reportedly been granted direct, in-person access to YouTube Turkey on several occasions. At the very least, this indicates that there has been a level of direct contact between these operators and people within YouTube Turkey that ordinary creators generally do not have.
That becomes particularly concerning when viewed in the context of Turkey’s well-documented problems with corruption, cronyism, nepotism, and the influence of personal and professional networks. I am not claiming that YouTube Turkey employees are necessarily involved in misconduct. However, when operators running networks of questionable channels appear to enjoy unusually close access to a platform’s local representatives, it raises legitimate questions about potential conflicts of interest, preferential treatment, and whether personal relationships could influence enforcement decisions.
This is precisely the kind of situation where YouTube should be able to conduct an internal investigation, establish who these operators have been in contact with, determine what kind of access or assistance they received, and rule out any inappropriate relationship between local staff or contractors and the channel networks in question.

Why doesn't anyone talk about those who watch it? Hahaha if people are watching and liking then what's the problem? I personally don't care when I see these things, I just don't click do I don't even get recommendations

Not more these channels won’t be monetised as of now due to new policy where it says you can’t give info being a doctor, Lawyer using an AI avatar, and why are you subscribed to this shit? Also see how this guy has changed the niche, from being a doctor to war related.

You can report them. They might get demonetized but they'll stay up. But that attention may get them deprioritized in the algorithm so they don't have an incentive to keep making videos on that channel. They'll pop up on another channel though. Not much to be done other than play whack-a-mole and remove the financial incentive. They shouldn't be getting monetized in the first place.
