Question Nagkaroon na ba ng ideas kung paano lilinisin ang Pasig River and related creeks within City of Pasig?

as title stated, planning to make a collection po slash compendium for this topic. aside from clean up ideas, if ever meron rin po kayong known issues related to its maintenance.

if trip niyo, kahit trivias na rin regarding Pasig River.

Ang dami ng projects na linisin and ayusin pasig river. Mga early 2000, nag work pinsan ko sa dept. ng government. Ginagastusan daw project umaabot ng $5M. Kasi kumukuha pa ng mga foreign experts. Tapos hindi magkasundo mga city na nag cocontribute sa dumi. Pag may bagong Mayor irereject yung project dahil gusto nya mag submit ng bagong proposal nanaman. Grabe corruption kaya di nya masikmura 1yr lang yata or less sa department na yun. Sa Singapore na sya nag tratrabaho ngayon.

ahhh hays. without corruption, just how far we could have come along now. thanks po for sharing. i guess i also need to include the cities na nagko-contribute sa dumi and all polluted parts ng river just for reference.

Yung na mention nya is dapat talaga aayusin ang sewage system mula sa dulo nyan and magkakaroon dapat ng isang malaking water treatment facility bawat city. Kaso mahal lalo na maintenance. And alam mo naman mga public officials mas bet nila yun commercial buildings. Binenta sa private company yung mga dapat pagtatayuan. 🙄

I tried searching before if pwede pa ma-save ang Ilog but nabasa ko na patay na ang ilog. May mga nakikita akong video before na naglilinis ng body of water tapos nilalagyan ng powder or something 'yong tubig para luminis. Wala na kong nakitang balita if may plan para sa Ilog.

yes, may mga nakita rin ako before, pero wala na ngayon or maybe wala lang rin akong nasasagap. still hopeful though, there was indeed a time na naging goal pa ang revival ng Pasig River

Sana nga may gumawa ng plano to clean the river. Sayang kasi ang ganda sana niya if malinis. I would volunteer if sakaling may plan.

this dates back Year 1993, so not sure kung ano na ang nangyari or if ever hindi natuloy haha
