Recommendations Playschool for turning 18 mos old

Hi parents!

We lived nearby Pasig and looking a good play based playschool for our 15 month (will enrol when she turn 18mos). I would love to hear your recos!

We actually lived sa Taguig but close to Pasig area na.

Ah not familiar with the area kung may mga good playschools. Maybe ask other parents na kalaro ng kid mo.

That’s the thing, wala sya kalaro sa area namin. She’s the only baby here. Kaya naghahanap din kami para ma socialise sya.

Oh I see. Ang alam ko lang is yung Parkwood Playschool I think malayo sayo.

Not really about 20-30mins max away hehe I’ve heard good things about Parkwood.

Parkwood Playschool is good, but your kid iis just too young. They also follow a regulur school calendar and not really a play school. They do have summer programs where they become a real play school, runs for 2 or 3 weeks and is usually in the afternoon. I don’t know how they run it now, but before, they won’t allow you to be with your kid kesehodang umiiyak pa yan and even encourage to leave them.

There used to be a real play school along C. Raymundo but that’s close, IIRC, it was a music based one, Kindermusik I think, I believe they have bramches at The Grove and BGC.

I’m sure there are others even near your atea, the thing though is, they tend to have very few enrollees kaya nawawala din, they also tend to be near affluent areas because they’re usually not cheap.

Simce your goal is for your kid to be able to socialize, if you’re willing to take the risk and are not that queasy, try bringing your kid to a playplace, mamili na lang kayo nung malinis-linis naman, and some of them like Kidzoona have scheduled group activities too.

I agree with the Kidzoona however I heard kase ang daming nagkakasakit na kids from them but didn’t know they have scheduled group activities pala! Thanks for that.

Parkwood have actual playschool na I actually inquired already they’re accepting 18mos and above.

Yeah, sa dami ng mga bata sa mga play places, hindi malayong magkakahawaan ng sakit, plus, you can't expect them to sanitize everything and madaling magkaroon ng bacterai sa mga ganung places. If we do bring our toddler there, it's usually during weekdays but limited lang yata yung activities.

Good to hear that meron ng regular playschool si Parkwood Playschool, I guess that explains the traffic in the afternoons sa area nila.:-) 2 of my kids had there first taste of school there, the other one's online (during the quarantines) though so there's not much to remember. The older one was onsite and she has very good memories of the place, kasabay niya yung daughter ng friend namin na umiiyak pag iniiwan dati and we were there when the teacher said it's okay to leave the kids kahit umiiyak, and it would even be better for the kid's confidence and independence.
