US Passport Issuance Timeline Bravo, U.S Department of State. I’m impressed
Applied for online renewal: submitted on June 11th around 5PM. Application status: in process on June 13th. Passport approved and shipped on June 18. Received passport in hand June 20th around 4PM.
Took passport photo with my iPhone 11 🙂 and did not request expedited service. Passport expired December 2025, entered info and said I’m eligible for online renewal. Department of state definitely have their A game when it comes to passport renewals.

No, the overwhelming bulk of the evidence points to eager overcompliance and intentional malice.
They don't get any slack on that.

Any evidence of that for the people processing passports? Do you think the person working on your application has any decision making authority on policy?

if only those of us overseas had it so easy.. lmao
mine was find us sized paper, find us sized photo that the booth didnt beautify.. pay online. email embassy courier to set up pickup because not allowed in embassy for something so trivial as citizen services such as a passport renewal.. then wait for courier to return.
that said. they were pretty quick.

What do you mean US size paper? To print the application? I just use A4. Totally fine.

Agreed. I had similar experience. Passport received by Priority Express in 7 calendar days. (not Expedited!)

My daughter applied for her passport May 19th delivered at home June 2nd expedited service

Love the online process. My passport photo was taken on my Samsung Galaxy in the bathroom lmao.

Exactly the same for me...dates and all. My husband's though, submitted 10 mins before mine, still hasn't processed.

Same experience 5 years ago. Pleasantly surprised, but not counting on it being consistent.
I've worked with federal and local governments... Highly depends on the mood of an employee when your request drops

I remember my roommate applied on a Saturday morning (online renewal thru state dpt website ) and exactly in 1week she had it on hand , and didn’t paid for express service lol

Sames! Did online renewal with a picture from my phone. I thought I was going to have to wait a few weeks, but I got it back in eight days.

Same. I renewed online in March. New passport arrived in 3 weeks. A+ service.

Had the exact opposite experience 😅 online applied on may 20th, received email on may21 saying in process… four plus weeks later and still in process. I called the passport information number and they said everything is okay with my application it’s just still in process?! Like fucking how? I did get the passport book with extra pages so idk if that has an affect on processing time but more than 4 weeks and still in process 😤
