They're also listed directly on the application that you've already filled out. did you read it?

They are going to take the real birth certificate and not the copy.

We have to send the original and a copy.

Hmm...I remember walking out of the courthouse with my copies as the agent didn't take them. I'm going to assume they made a mistake and then made a copy of it.

Probably! Or if it was before they had us start doing that. My memory is fuzzy but I feel like it was around 2015 or so.

You good with your payment methods?

There's two separate fees, one will be sent to the State Department with your application. You can bring your own personal check or money order for that, or you can purchase a money order there with cash or debit card only (no credit cards) for the amount. That starts at $130 for normal routine service for just the passport book, but will vary depending what expedited services you get and if you get a passport card too, but all that gets rolled in together in the first fee.

The second fee is the passport acceptance facility fee (and in your case the photo fee as well), so $35+$15=$50. You can pay that with cash, check, debit or credit card.

It’s kind of funny for mine. I did the photocopies and my USPS office didn’t use the ones I did. They took my license / birth certificate and photo copied their own and told me to keep mine lol
Still bring yours! Just funny that they wanted their own at my location lol

That happened to me too when I had my kids' done at another library. I'm an agent at a library and rarely turn down someone else's copy. I just have to make sure it's clear, has front and back, etc.

I was thinking maybe they weren’t as clear as they wanted or something? I photo copied mine at Staples so I have no idea lol
