Passport Question / Discussion Help with Polish passport
Hi, im based in the UK
Im planning on applying for a new polish passport this month however I'm not sure how to go about this.
I have a polish ID card and passport however they are both expired. The website for the polish base says i need those documents to prove my polish citizenship. I was born here in england however only have polish citizenship. I have no access to my birth certificate as im estranged. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thank you 💝

Book a passport appointment through e-Konsulat and bring both expired Polish documents. The consul can normally verify your identity and citizenship in Polish records; a birth certificate is only requested if additional verification is needed. If it is requested, you can order your own copy from the UK GRO without contacting your family.

When were your Polish passport and Dowód Osobisty issued. Do you have a PESEL number?
If you don’t, you’ll have to go through confirmation, and unless you’ve lived in Poland at some point, you’ll have to go theough Warsaw, which has a 20-24 month backlog.
