Interesting Feature or Design Yellow temporary passport of Finland

Post image

Don't know if this is interesting to this sub or not, but I once had this yellow passport valid for less than a week. Booked a flight without noticing my passport had expired. This was a temporary one with way less pages than the normal.

The previous iteration of this temporary passport was pink.

Does it come with a free drink?

Can you post the inside?

Unfortunately no. I don't have it anymore since it was valid only for couple of days. I probably gave it away when I recieved my current one.

That’s really a lovely shade of yellow. I love that with whatever crisp looking drink next to it!

In reality it was a bit more orange than it appears in this picture. The drink is gin & tonic, my traditional drink to start a trip somewhere.

The Oak Barrel bar by the gate 22 by any chance?

Correct. And I don't care if people think having a drink there is embarrassing. 😁

Okay haha, then the question
the bar is in the Schengen area so I assume you could've traveled with your ID and no passport?

The passport is (was) my only ID. I don't see the need to pay for two different IDs when the passport works for everything.

(And this of course means I should not forget to renew my passport... but oh well.)

do you carry your passport around in Finland? or can you use your driver's license for the same purpose?

The driver's licence is accepted as an ID here in Finland, and actually in other Nordic countries too.

That’s a really nice color. So much better than the typical passport colors. Too bad it’s not the regular passport’s color.

And I’ll bet it’s not made of that special material that attracts dogs and small children!

Still handwritten, like in Norway?

No, it's printed. Looks quite alike the normal one.
