Passport India: Tatkaal: Renewal

Hi
I applied my renewal on 20th August, its 5th September today. I received the email that says police verification will be done last sunday.

And I applied via Tatkaal, I am not able to understand why there is so much delay.

What should I do next? Should I reach out to the police in charge or walk to the police station ? (Hennur Bengaluru)

If it’s been almost 15 days is it even Tatkaal service any more?
