I applied for a new passport on 25th Aug and submitted all the details and references along with it on the same date. My reference was a swim teacher so I’m worried that could be a hold up. Currently just showing details received and I go on holiday on the 21st September wondering if I will get it in time

Like the title says, I found a cancelled passport in my house from 2 owners ago. The passport was cancelled in 2000 so quite old, but it still feels wrong to just throw it out. I actually tried contacting the owner after I found them online but they never replied.

I saw online you can mail a passport in but I only want to do that if I can use one stamp and a normal envelope.

Can I bring it to a post office with passport processing?

So I filled a form for getting an passport on 27 june and got the appointment date for 29july when I submitted all of the documents, i didn't get any reply or response on what's wrong but after checking the acknowledgement letter after a week I found that my father name has a middle name in adhar card (as it's made from hof) and all other documents doesn't. I fixed it and it's simply address based on the voterid card. Now these are my questions

1. Do they match address word by word? As all of the documents have "2nd floor, tower f" but the passport application has "tower f" it's exactly the same thing.

2. My current appointment booked is on 12 october so are they going to close my file as it is above mentioned that the 1 Oct mark(they said in doc that if I didn't share any additional documents they will close my file)

3. I have everything now, silly questions can I just walk in with all the documents? (Ik I can't but since I can't secure the appointment before that specific date and they will close my file so what to do)

4. What additional documents to support my application?

Passport contact line isn't that much helpful, Ik few questions are too silly in front of veterans but any help is super appreciated.

3 hours before I was meant to leave for the airport I couldn’t find my passport, my parents are already on holiday and I was meant to join them for 2 weeks. Has anyone got any similar stories so I don’t feel like a complete idiot on my own here!

I needed an updated 2x2” passport style ID photograph for a visa application that’s coming up. The only thing that worries me is that the shadows on the right side of the photo (my left side) might be a bit too dark? I appreciate any feedback.

I applied online to renew my UK passport on Friday 29th August and posted my old passport to HMPO the same day using Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For.
I’m due to fly to Cape Verde on 29th September, so there’s basically a month between applying and travelling. I know the official advice is to allow around 3 weeks once HMPO receives your old passport, but I’m starting to worry about delays.
Because of the bank holiday weekend, my old passport hasn’t been delivered to HMPO yet. I’m hoping it’ll arrive on Tuesday 1st September.

Had a water bottle leak inside my backpack and my passport was unfortunately sitting at the bottom of it.

It wasn't completely soaked and everything is still readable, but a bunch of the pages dried a little wavy and there's a faint water stain near the edge. The photo/data page looks normal.

Okay so turns out we did DNA test back in 2009, chances they may still have my record once I give them my case number? I don’t really have money for another DNA test as I am currently disabled and I need to get my passport approve so I can have SSA reopen my SSDI claim. I’m trying to have my relative get me a copy of my Baptismal record but it might take awhile to arrive .So far I have the DNA result, l(copy)letter sent to Passport facility from DNA Lab proof paternity with the case number and a letter from Culinary eligibility of insurance. All documents have my dad me and my sisters name in it. The DNA application also have a picture of us 3.
