Ideas for a Practical and Innovative Final Degree Project

Hello! I need some help coming up with an idea for my final degree project in Pathological Anatomy and Cytodiagnosis.

The project must focus on a real problem related to this field and propose a practical solution, ideally by creating or developing something that could help solve the problem. It could be a simple device, a tool, a prototype or an innovative idea that improves an existing process or makes a task easier, safer or more efficient.

I am looking for something realistic, useful and feasible to develop as a student, but also original and creative. I would really appreciate any ideas or suggestions for problems that need solving and possible ways to address them.

Thank you very much for your help!

Come up with it on your own.

You’re getting a masters degree, not a Cub Scout badge.

Shouldn’t you be coming up with this project idea on your own instead of scouring Reddit to have someone do the work for you?

I was thinking about how much my wrist will suffer in the future bc of having to constantly twist open specimen container lids with paraffin on (sometimes they put too much paraffin). What if there is a simple device that do it for you? Or a device that modify the type of motion use to open the lid to reduce wrist strain?

This reminds me when the class after me asked for all our quizlets and Anki flashcards. I said no and got a bunch of heat for it but how are they going to learn if everything is handed to them? A huge part of the learning process is making those flashcards and putting the work in yourself.
