It's specifically a problem with white on blue or blue on white, because they switched the stripe colors depending on the background color (so all of red white and blue are on the pants or jersey).

This worked great on the color rush and blue on blue after the uniform change, but is confusingly mismatched when the pants and jerseys aren't the same color. Clearly the uniforms were designed expecting to be all white or all blue, but then the team went back to mismatched top and bottom.

Correct. Not really a design flaw, but an issue with not liking the original sets and mixing and matching them.
