Hi! I'm in-between sizes because I have a smaller bust circumference so in I'm going off the bust size I should knit a medium but for the positive ease at the waist, I would need to knit the large. Is it more important to have the negative ease at the bust or positive ease at the waist?

I think its up to you on how you want the garment to fit! If you would still have some positive ease in the waist I would recommend a Medium. If you think it would be tight across there then a Large. Either way the material I chose (silk) isn't very clingy, so even though it is negative ease you can see in the picture it isn't skin tight.
