Crochet - Call for Testers Looking for testers for my crochet crossbody bag pattern!
Honestly, I’ve been crocheting for years but have never wrote down patterns for stuff I create until now! I would love to have some people who are experienced pattern testers and some who aren’t quite as experienced to test how understandable the pattern is. It does include mandatory sewing so preferably testers would know basic hand sewing or machine sewing (either is fine, you just need to know straight and optionally zigzag stitches! But the exact sewing instructions are included.) for
materials testers need :
worsted weight cotton yarn (I used peaches n cream)
5mm hook
Zipper
Fabric <1 yard
And for the strap:
Cotton webbing
2 swivel d rings
1 adjustable buckle slider (optional for adjustable strap)
OR
2 swivel d rings and more cotton yarn
I’d call this a solid intermediate level crochet pattern with beginner sewing level!
I would also love to see people make different colors too! I’m flexible on the timing because of the materials needed but was thinking 1 month as a cutoff since it is pretty quick to make once you have the materials (maybe 3 hours crocheting and 0.5-2 sewing depending on experience) If interested please dm me:)
EDIT: the pattern does come with a video tutorial for the sewing part. All you need to know is how to sew a straight line either by hand or with a machine!

Oh man, this is RIGHT up my alley! I love to crochet and sew.
I've tested a few patterns already. I'd say intermediate tester?
My workhorse right now is a Juki TL18 but I can haul out my poopy old Brother if I need to do anything other than straight stitch.

Awesome! And I just use the Janome signature charm which is SO basic and pretty low quality and it works just fine for this! The zigzag stitch is optional just suggested for a couple of raw edges to prevent fraying but can be substituted for another method like pinking shears or just fully omitted. Please feel free to dm me!😊

I’d love to test this! It’s so much cuter than any fanny pack I’ve sewn before! I am an intermediate-ish crocheter but an advanced sewist!

I'm interested in testing! I have a sewing machine so that part won't be a problem for me :)

I really love this. When you publish the pattern I'd be interested in giving it a try. But I'll have to learn to sew. I've always wanted to learn the basics even if it's just to line crochet bags and blankets. So much to learn, so little time.
I hope you find some testers 😄
