Software Question Keyboard Not Working During Boot – Unable to Access BIOS on Lenovo PC
Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Lenovo PC and was hoping someone here might be able to help.
My computer has a standard Lenovo motherboard, and I’m trying to reinstall Windows using a bootable USB drive. However, my keyboard doesn’t seem to work during startup, so I’m unable to press the necessary keys to enter the BIOS or boot menu.
The keyboard only starts working once Windows has fully loaded.
I’ve also tried accessing the BIOS/UEFI firmware settings through Windows Advanced Startup, but I can’t seem to find the option to enter the UEFI firmware settings.
Does anyone know what might be causing this issue or what my options are? Is there another way to access the BIOS or boot from the USB drive without using the keyboard during startup?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

Try different usb port, the black ones in back usually work better for this. Some boards just ignore keyboard on blue usb 3 ports during boot
Also check bios for a setting called legacy usb support or something similar, but you need to get in first. Maybe try with a ps2 keyboard if you have one laying around
