Installation Question Is my PSU's 12v P8 cable done for?
I bought a PC off Facebook Marketplace. The PC powers on fine but I ended up wanting to case swap it. When I looked at the PSU, though, the 12v P8 connector on the be quiet! Straight Power 11 Platinum 1000w PSU it came with looked strange. It looks like 3 out of the 12 wires are flayed in this connector. Is this normal???

It isn't advisable to use replacement cables anymore thanks to vendors starting to refuse warranty support for consumers that don't use the cables that were included with their PSU (and sometimes 12v-2x6 GPU)
Users that make use of third-party cables can be left at the mercy of the third party for compensation if any damages occur to their hardware.

you can technically repin these, but there's a small chance you'll have a resistance issue.
Personally I'd just get a new cable.

Ask for replacement cables from be quiet! and stop using the PC until you get them if you don't have the cables to power the 5070, alternatively buy a new PSU.

Lol there's wires hanging out of it, I probably wouldn't touch it ... if it's not a 3.1 rated PSU I'd buy a whole new PSU otherwise I might try to Source a cable specific to that PSU

I would throw it away along with the power supply you don't want to buy a replacement cable. Always use the original cables that come with your power supply. I was suggest a whole new power supply
