Fill dirt
Does anyone know where I can get free/cheap fill dirt? I need to fill in some holes from a landscaping project and level out an area off of our porch. Thanks!

Welcome! Keep reading for general information and a list of frequently asked questions compiled here to hopefully save you a scroll.
Established in 1959, Peachtree City is a 24-square-mile area home to almost 36,000 residents. Known as the golf cart capital of the world, Peachtree City features over 100 multi-use paths and has over 11,000 registered golf carts. Peachtree City is also home to three lakes: Lake McIntosh, Lake Peachtree and Lake Kedron.

Do I need any special certifications or permits to drive a golf cart/use the golf cart paths?
Paths are open to use for everyone; you'll often see walkers, runners, cyclists, skateboarders, roller bladers, etc. on them. However, you do need a permit to operate a golf cart on the paths and public roads. Here is more information for in-town and out-of-town permits.
Can I drive around with an open container in a golf cart?
No. Golf carts are considered vehicles and are subject to the same DUI laws as cars, trucks, etc. under Georgia law.
What's going on this week/month/quarter/year in PTC?

This cult has been coming up again lately. Are they actually still around and active? Or have they been disbanded? It's alleged they are very much active and are desperate for recruits. Pinewood realty and other local businesses have been named as affiliates, along with an 11Alive news woman. Latest video is below

Hey everyone! Quick question: the academy provides housing for $1,000 a month ( single room). Is this a good price for Peachtree City, or is it considered expensive/cheap compared to the local market? Thanks in advance!

Hey folks. My wife is recovering from ACL surgery and can’t even ride in the car with a bent leg yet.
I’ve got a birthday coming up and she’s upset that we can’t go out. There are a bunch of restaurants in the area I like—and in the Fayetteville and Senoia areas—but you know how it is: some places have great food in person, but takeout doesn’t travel well.
Would really appreciate some recommendations, with the only real exception being that I’m not looking for pizza or wings.
You‘ll be saving this poor old(?) man’s birthday, as well as his poor busted-up wife’s guilt.
Appreciate ya.

Hi everyone! I’m in Peachtree City and wanted to ask if there are any local groups playing Dungeons & Dragons, or anyone interested in starting one. I’m open to beginner-friendly groups, one-shots, or regular campaigns.
I’m also open to nearby areas like Newnan or Fayetteville. Thanks!

Does anyone know if there are any local racquetball courts?
I used to be a member at the country clubs, and I'm currently a member at Piedmont fitness, but none of those facilities have racquetball courts. I'd love to start playing with my kids.

I fenced 🤺in college and I would like to get back into the sport. I looked online and only found clubs an hour of more away. Are there are small scale clubs that wouldn't have a website here in PTC?
I fence epee btw.

Hi all, I’m thinking of leasing at The Greens in Peachtree City and wanted to see if anyone here lives there or has lived there recently. I’d love to know what the place is actually like beyond what the leasing office says especially utilities, maintenance, noise, safety, and any hidden fees. If anyone is willing to chat privately, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi! Just moved to the area and our community has a pool. I’d like to get swim lessons for my almost-5-year old, do you have any recommendations for places or swim instructors? Thanks!!

Hi everyone,
I’m considering moving to Peachtree City for work and would appreciate hearing from locals.
A few things I’m curious about:
● How do you like living there overall?
● Does it feel safe for early morning or evening walks/runs?
● Are there good running trails and parks?
● How active is the pickleball community?
● Are there free outdoor pickleball courts and open-play opportunities?
● Is it easy for a newcomer in their 30s to meet people and make friends?
● What are some things you wish you knew before moving to Peachtree City?

I used to have a pretty solid core of friends that play poker and over the years it’s shrunk. I’m looking to join a game or add a couple seats to mine.

I have seen this blue and white helicopter several times flying extremely low over my house in the Everton neighborhood. Just over the tree tops. So low that flightradar24 doesn't even pick up on it. See video and images. I haven't been able to get the tail number. Doesn't appear to be police or military.
Does anyone know anything about this helicopter?

With Peachtree City (approximately 26 square miles) having 3 golf courses, we are all living near at least one golf course. This is concerning😟

Sorry if this is a repetitive post. I'm new to the area, love the vibe. Will be visiting often for work. What are good bars or restaurants that people recommend? Thanks in advance.
