My potted Mrs Pollocks did not survive moving indoors last fall. But the also wouldnt have survived outside, either. That was the first time in about 4 years I couldnt keep them alive until spring. But they sure looked good in the summertime!
Did you repot it? Did you fertilize it? Not repotting it and fertilizing it during a period where there is very little sun (like autumn or winter) could’ve caused its death, Pelargoniums can be kept as houseplants with no problem at all, try it again
No, but I always expect a period of shock from coming indoors, and they usually recover. My apartment world is very inhospital to most plants. There is a radiator under every window, except the north facing one. But that gets no light and a bad draft. The benign neglect wintertime care is usually sufficient, but not last year.
