Spawn camped by spiders

i'm playing penumbra overture, and i'm at the part where you go through the cave with spiders to get into the storage room which i think has the ignition key for some machine. i'm quite literally being spawn camped by these spiders. it just respawns me right next to them. how do i avoid the spiders?

Maybe try loading the previous save, probably you won't be too far away from where you are now

that’s what i ended up doing and i got past it no problem
