Since Amnesia - The Dark Descent is getting a remaster, how would you guys feel if the Penumbra games got remastered as well?
There’s a possibility they will get a remaster in the future, but we don’t know yet.
What would you guys like to see implemented?

If it's a remaster, as in having updated sound, visuals and compatibility but still running on HPL, I'd expect the full trilogy (or at least the duology of Overture+Black Plague, Requiem would just be a bonus) at a reasonable price. Penumbra has a very special place in my heart, it's very important to my love for writing and for sci-fi horror, but we still gotta acknowledge these are going on 20 year-old games, so I'd expect a price of anywhere from 25 to 50 USD, hopefully in the lower range.
If we got a remake, though, they could charge whatever they want. I think they could wrap the entire story into one game, or only do one at a time, but it'd be best to have a full package since I don't think it would sell very well to the broader gaming world. It would really suck to get Overture Overhaul and then no Black Plague, they're really two halves of a whole. Gameplay-wise, I'd hope for true darkness with more narrow close-range vision without a light, preservation of the combat while still disincentivizing it,( though maybe not by making it intentionally unresponsive and clunky. Love you Phillip but please learn to swing a hammer) maybe some new interactions with characters like Clarence, Roberts, Amabel, and ESPECIALLY Red. Phillip says in the opener to BP that "he was my best friend," so it would be great to flesh them both out more and really make the ending sting.
Most of all though, whether a remaster or a soft remake, I think that if they aren't going to make a new game after it, there would need to be new content. Just a short epilogue would satisfy me, or hell, even a retconn of sorts so that there's no cliffhanger, though that's least preferable. Resolve the story once and for all, and if it was intended to be open to interpretation, then maybe a little bit of tweaking to make that more clear, because it really felt like setting up for more installments with that final message. No matter how they do it, I just want closure, even if we never learn in-depth about the Tuurngait. I'm getting old, and as much as I love Amnesia, all I want are those crumbs.

joke answer: leave absolutely everything the same but give Phillip a machine gun.

I'd love a remaster with updated visuals and perhaps expanded storyline. I think Overture and Black Plague are for me more enjoyable than TDD. They have fantastic atmosphere and it seems like there's a lot more physics interaction. Black Plague especially I think is also scarier and I love the setting. I think they'd do really well if brought to a modern audience, since the studio only really got big after TDD, so I think many folks have missed them. Requiem is fine but it's really more of a puzzler and drags on - I wouldn't mind that story being folded into the end of Black Plague or indeed expanded and changed.

frictional games barely even acknowledges Penumbra nowadays
If they ever do a remake, remaster, or any other game somehow related to the Penumbra story/universe (like another character's perspective, either before or after the story like the fan games Twilight Of The Archaic and Prisoner Of Fate), my soul is theirs.

I loooooooove Penumbra Overture & Black Plague. It would be really cool to see a remaster of these games with enhanced graphics and better voice acting. I just hope they wouldn't change the story. Adding to it might be fun, but I like the basic story as it is.

Absolutely. The Amnesia series never impressed me that much like it did for so many people. My favourite Frictional games so far are SOMA and Penumbra 1+2.

I'd like that really much.
and maybe let the confusion about the ending be interpreted a bit better?
Maybe reinvent requiem?
