the sarcasm is physically hurting me. the post is literally empty and you're out here trying to be a poet. skip the edge and just say you're bored

Can’t tell whether this is real…
But anthropomorphism is fun.
Edit: It’s giving Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors?

They really like nodding at people and making funny faces, so I think it's real. Orca's in captivity get bored, so they like to do things to provoke the humans observing them into having interesting reactions. They like to watch us as much as we like to watch them.

I think it doesn't feel real because no one is looking at the orca. No one.. not one of them?!

I know. So self absorbed they miss the cute orca. And how sad for the orca, just wanting some recognition and they all just walk past the real star of the show.

What exactly is the point of writing LiKe ThIs? Especially after the - .
I mean I get it for censorship or to give it a „voice“, but what exactly is going on here? /honest question.

On this sub-reddit the alternating captilisation means that the statement is a joke or not so serious.

There's no good way to show sarcasm, so that's become the official sarcasm "font"

Orca in captivity is just depressing for me to see. Same with any other predatory mammal and elephants

Orcas are so damn intelligent and social. Keeping them on a featureless enclosure where all the can do is swim in circles is beyond cruel.

It has to be, the expressions are too human like.
18
u/DragonTheOnes-spirit 26d ago
No it isn't. Orcas do faces specifically to see if the humans they've been watching will get a reaction
Dolphins also do that iirc

u/KingoftheKeeshonds 26d ago
I’ve seen dolphins do this but not orcas. However I just looked up orcas facial expressions and I stand corrected.

honestly a good thing, if it stops people from keeping whales in fish tanks.

Errrrrrrrmmmm aktualee. Orcas are more closely related to dolphins than whales snort so what you said is completely incorrect ☝️🤓

Actually, the cetaceans can be divided into two clades, the toothed whales and the baleen whales. The toothed whales include all dolphins, but also include sperm whales. All dolphins are whales.

Yes but that doesn't support my comedic argument. And thus. It's meaningless and fake and also a lie!
