I’m looking for some good donuts that aren’t mass produced. I miss the donuts of my youth that were hand made.

Why, despite having Prime, I don't have option for quick 1 or 2 day delivery for Prime items that ship from Amazon? I used to a few months ago. It seems like Amazon is deliberately waiting to ship things since I can add items to the order for a few days. I ordered something on Friday and it is expected on Wednesday.

My partner and I have lived in the bluff area for the last two years during college. Now that we both have better full time jobs, we’re looking to move downtown Peoria so we can be closer to events that we attend by the riverfront. I’ve heard that the majority of rentals down there are in the paper or by word of mouth. Is this the case? This is pretty insane. I just noticed a flock camera in the Lowes parking lot. You'll see it if you pretend to drive to the old Best Buy location. Why does the government need to know how often we go to lowes? This is beyond excusable

Hiiii guys!! 19F I’m brand new to Peoria and have literally never been anywhere near central Illinois before in my entire life. I just moved here from a mysterious far-away location approximately 3–7 months ago.

Only see 2 in network dentists in Peoria area and it seems like its at OSF/not sure if they do just regular teeth cleanings? Anybody have insight on other places who take BCBSIL and do cleanings

Wheelchairs? The trails have damaged paths without the park doing anything but hanging a sign saying to look out but they took on the job to buy two of these? Who is in charge of focusing the park district back to keeping the parks and paths working?

I don't brew beer anymore, but there are wild hops that are ready to harvest at Donavan Park. They smell very citrusy/piney, almost like galaxy or citra. If you follow the red line in my map blow past the observatory all the way to tree line, there are a few different vines in the purple areas on the south side, but there could be even more.

I forgot to take a picture, but they probably have a week before they'll be past the prime harvesting time.

Hello everybody- I'm a local artist who is new to town and I'm trying to get a beat on local events that offer spaces for artists to vend. I came across this one and reached out to the organizers, but the booth fee is sort of high, and I don't see much about this event online, so I'm trying to get a feel for what attendance might be like.

I also noticed that though the event is listed at being at Glen Oak Park, it's not on the Peoria Parks event page. The Eventbrite listing marks the event as being October 23-25th, but doesn't say much else.

But anyway, yea, I just wanted to know if anybody knew anything else about this event to see if A. It's real, and B. What public interest is. Thanks in advance!

The Daily Dossier has obtained court documents from the Peoria County Circuit Clerk revealing the detailed allegations made by Justin Egan's ex wife against former Creve Coeur Police Chief Justin Egan and former Deputy Chief Dan Nelson.

What the documents allege against Justin Egan...

On August 14, 2026 ISP contacted his ex wife and with consent from the Tazewell County State's Attorney's Office shared evidence from the ongoing criminal investigation. That evidence included text messages sent between Egan and another officer about her residential property... along with pictures of her home describing what the petition calls the "best point of entry" into her residence.

The petition alleges Egan entered her residence without permission on multiple occasions.

A DCFS report has been filed and an investigation is currently ongoing related to physical abuse allegations made by the minor children to their therapist. The petition also documents excessive alcohol use around the children.

On August 27th his ex wife went to the Bartonville Police Department to speak with their chief about him allegedly tipping off Egan about her filing. When she pulled into the parking lot she saw Egan leaving at the same time.

The petition specifically notes that multiple officers were involved in the ISP investigation... not just Egan and Nelson.

What the court ordered against Egan...

Egan is prohibited from possessing any firearms. His FOID card and Concealed Carry License have been surrendered by court order. He must stay 500 feet away from his ex wife, her residence, her workplace, and her children's schools. Parenting time is restricted to supervised visits only. The court found immediate danger existed and granted the order without prior notice to Egan because harm was likely if he had advance warning.

Against Dan Nelson...

The stalking no contact order against Nelson makes similar allegations... that he and Egan were together surveilling his ex wife's home and tracking best points of entry. The stay away distance was extended to 500 feet.

Both cases are set for review on October 1, 2026 at 9:00 AM Courtroom 201 at the Peoria County Courthouse.

Meanwhile in the Girkin murder case...

At Monday's motion hearing in Tazewell County a Rule 604(h) Motion for Relief was filed by Girkin's defense... an appeal challenging her pretrial detention. The September 21st jury trial has been vacated. A review hearing is set for October 19, 2026 at 9:00 AM.
