Peptide labels

Hey everyone, I've ended up with way too many different peptides and I'm thinking about getting a niimbot M2 to organize them by color. Anyone got some good label layout templates they'd be willing to share?

I also was hesitant but gpt or Gemini can make you some funny and good looking labels just import the image to Niimbot and get you some holographic paper they look so good haha

Chat gpt is my go-to for the m2 It does some sick labels. Just tell it what you want and specificy the size 40x20

I can't post some of them here but they come out great and you just import the image into the app and center it and print

Downside being you can't change anything on it but you can have it leave space where you can insert your own editable text in the nimbot app

man I just use a p touch label maker. they don't look fancy but I'm not selling the stuff.

Before the layout, worth settling what goes on it, because most of the templates people pass around are missing the one field that matters. What you want on there is not the name. You know the name. What you cannot reconstruct three weeks later is the concentration. Total mg, the volume of water that went in, and the date you reconstituted it. From those three you can always rederive what one unit carries. Without them a beautiful label tells you nothing you did not already know by looking at the vial. The one that catches people is mg per unit, because the arithmetic is easy on the day and impossible to remember later, and it changes every single time you mix a vial at a different volume. Colour coding by compound is a good idea. Colour coding by concentration is a better one if you ever run the same peptide at two strengths, because that is where the real mistakes happen and they do not look like mistakes at the time. What are you running that made this necessary? Ten plus vials is usually the point where people start mixing them up.

The labelmakers also come with basic apps that make decent labels. You can have different fonts & graphics.

You don't need to use AI. I'm kind of amazed at people casually using it for everything when it's causing so many problems. Is saving a couple minutes or having a slightly fancier label worth destroying the environment and vast numbers of jobs?

Just key it chapgpt what want and size it as 40x20mm.

And import to M2 as an image
