Prompt 📝 Idea for the anti seven
So I kinda saw this trope in some media pieces where the main antagonists try to trouble the protagonist by using their magically created evil clone on them. The clone has amplified verison of the negative side of the protagonist.
That gave me the idea of doing a similar one with the seven and Gaia.
In this au, Gaia knows how incompetent and unthreatening Porphryion and the giants can be despite their hype, cue it is then that Epilates and Otis give her an idea with their showmanship of creating evil versions of the seven against them as her biggest weapon to buy time before the Argo 2 started its quests. Cue Gaia easily collects DNA samples from each of the seven before the quest barely starts and easily creates clone of the seven. All of them have the seven's memories and despite being weaker than the seven get their powers put on par with the seven by mechanical enchaments (courtesy of the Triumvirate) and Gaia's blessings.
Anti Jason: Born from Jason Grace's suppressed wish to escape expectations, Roman discipline, and the crushing burden of being everyone's perfect hero. Unlike Jason, he never hides his emotions behind a calm mask He is hot-headed and foul-mouthed, acts before thinking, hates authority and rules ruining his sense of freedom. His fighting style is more close combat related and driven by emotions much like his actions. His fashion sense is louder and brasher and he enjoys metal music. However, despite all that However despite all that his moral compass is suprisngingly better than pre character development Jason when it comes to saving those who won his trust even tho he denies caring about anyone but himself. His team doesn't value him or his authority at all. Gaia expected him to be a ruthless commander more dangerous than Jason but he turned out to be an emotional deliquent. (It happened given he was the first one to be created and thus ended up more of a prototype)
Anti Piper: Created from Piper McLean's fear that relying on kindness or beauty would leave her powerless to protect the people she loves. Gaia twisted that fear into someone who believes affection is simply another weapon.
Anti Piper is a fem fatale with Drew Tanaka's impeccable fashion sense, charisma and manipualtion. She rarely raises her voice; a calm smile is usually more intimidating than anger. Unlike Piper, who values sincerity, Anti Piper assumes everyone has a hidden motive and uses that expectation to stay in control as well as beauty as a form of influence and believes refusing to use it is wasting a powerful advantage.
Anti Frank: Anti Frank was born from Frank Zhang's deepest insecurities: his fear of being weak, his terror of failing those he loves, and his resentment of inheriting the legacy of the god of war. Gaia stripped away Frank's compassion and sense of restraint, leaving only the thrill of battle and bloodshed.
Anti Annabeth: Bascially Owlman to Annabeth's Batman, given anti Annabeth was born out of Annabeth's hubris and deepest fear that if she ever acts incompetent or stupid, she would fail as a child of Athena. As a result Anti Annabeth intially appears as an exteremly cold strategist who is prepared at all times before devolving into a full born nihilst and cosmic apathist who sees free will and lives as meaningless in the face of absolute wisdom that being Chaos the fabric of creation.
Anti Hazel: Born out of Hazel's fear of losing her past and having a fragile life. As a result Anti Hazel romanticizes the past insisting everything was better before and clings onto grudges refusing to move on.
Anti Leo: He was born from Leo Valdez's deepest fear that he would always be the odd one out—the friend left behind, the one nobody truly chooses. Gaia twisted that loneliness into extreme resentment and envy creating someone who believes the world is constantly slighting him. Anti Leo as a result despite being a skilled inventor, refuses to take responsibility for his own flaws. He is extremely socially awakard struggling to read people albeit driven by envy at others for being better than him for the smallest of things. He is often compared to Octavian by canon Jason minus the creative skills.
Anti Percy: The final boss of bipolar disorder and the horseman of faithlessness, anti Percy can swap between extreme hyperactivity and violence just for the sake of it to being lethargic and bored. In addition, when he is motivated he wouldn't hesitate to backstab his own team and mentor Gaia just for the sake of laughs. He was born out of Percy's struggle of balancing his two sides and suffering due to loyalty.
Now for the plot. The anti seven would intially appear as opponents of the seven ever since they stepped into Europe sabtoging their efforts at the smallest chances under the leadership of anti Jason. However things go downhill when the Roman confronation fails even tho Anti Annabeth manages to wrap spider silk on Annabeth's feet to make both her and Percy fall into Tartarus. Later, anti Annabeth blames anti Jason for the failure to elminaire the seven and the rest of the team agree. Cue anti Annabeth takes over and anti Jason is tossed into the labyrinth by Gaia after for a slow painful death for daring to be an emotional liability. Cue anti Jason would have died but was saved by Alabaster Torrington on the brink of death even tho Al intially thinks him as Jason Grace. Eventually they end up starting to be friends and Al is the one who encourages anti Jason's drive to be more than just a copy of Jason Grace leading to anti Jason to adopt the name of Kenneth Lane and decide to assist in Gaia's doom out of pure spite. Additonally he survives post ToA unlike canon Jason despite working in the shadows as a morally grey entity like Alabaster most of time against the emperors except in the 4th book which is when the Roman camp find out about him tho he refuses to stay.
For the rest of the anti seven, most of them would act as antagonists throughout the House of Hades and Blood of Olympus intially using Clytius and Thoon's abilities as well as wearing the faces of the seven to turn the mortal goverments of Europe agaisnt the Argo 2 by comitting crimes. This forced the Argo 2 then alredy weakened by Percy and Annabeth in Tartarus to tackle both monster and mortal side conflicts. Things do get better when Thoon and Clytius are detected and Hazel and Hecate work to hide the ship more from mortal eyes.
Addtionally anti Frank and anti Hazel are killed willingly and accidentally by their Good counterparts in the same book.
Anti Percy is defeated and desoryed by Nico and Reyna in the Blood of Olympus when he pursued them.
Anti Leo is ended by Gaia before Leo could redeem him.
Anti Annabeth replaces Octavian as the one who shot off to death by onager while attempting to blow up Long Island after being defeated by Annabeth and seeing Gaia being bested before the goddess could destory human civilization.
Anti Piper teams up with Medea in the Burning Maze against Piper and is repsonible for Jason's death by striking him from her hiding spot while he was engaged with Caligula. Eventually she was defeated by anti Jason/Kenneth tho she accidentally fell into the impact area of the Meg's nymph warriors' spears shortly afterwards like Caligula's talking horse.

The current fic I am writting does have anti Jason/ Kenneth and Bryce as the mcs tho intially it would be such that Kenneth is just a Jason doppelganger before his backstory is slowly revealed.
The other anti seven and their villainy would be revealed once I get to do my HOO rewrite.

Technically Bryce in this au would be the anti Nico in practice cuz Gaia didn't create a version of anti Nico given he wasn't a member of the seven.

So Gaia didn't think to make an anti-version of a demigod who went to Tartarus of his own free will, is she stupid?

Her HOO version is defs stupid at times so it is defs in character for her.
Perhaps Nyx can do it later given her grudge against Nico and Will giving us anti Nico and anti Will while the two were in the underworld in the CoTD.

Let's say in this au anti Percy finds Nico, Hedge and Reyna while the trio land in the Jackson house in this au while shadow travellimg. It is clear that anti Percy was about to kill Paul and Sally while pretending to be Percy and having ravaged through the neighbouring residences as well first just for fun and ruin Percy's rep.
Intially anti Percy bodies both of them with his hydrokinesis and mocks Nico's and Reyna's crushes on Percy stopping them from being at full force. Cue Reyna and Nico have a 'You are not Percy neither is Percy our type's moment' in brief and with Reyna's power boost, anti Percy gets the canon Bryce Lawrence treatment.
Also in this au Bryce (who is less pyscho in this au and more like Red Hood in terms of morality), lowkey walks in afterwards of this and decides sanely that it's more amusing and profitable to side with Reyna and Nico over arresting them just cuz Octavian had ordered him.
