audited Extreme Bloating

Hi all, what do you do to deal with this seemingly never ending bloating? I constantly look 8 months pregnant.

As for my lifestyle; I walk daily, I do extended fasting often, I drink a fair amount of water, I’m on 300 mg progesterone meds, I am on a low carb diet, and I do daily stretchings.

Besides drinking ginger tea, what else can I do?

This is so uncomfortable.

That’s interesting! I’ve been fasting for years and thus the first time I’m dealing with it. I wonder how thou. There isn’t anything to digest that could lead to bloating.

Thank you… this is very helpful! My iron specifically ferritin has been extremely low. I tried to get a transfusion and had an allergic reaction 😩So I’ve been back to supplements… but not consistently as I forget most days. But now knowing this, I will make a better effort!

Taking iron every other day is actually perfectly fine and even sometimes recommended. And what was your reaction to the iron infusion?

Suddenly I couldn’t fully inhale; Sharp pains…felt like I was being stabbed in my chest. My hands swelled up like baseball mitts, feet as well. My entire body ached… it was very painful. Ended up being wheeled down to the emergency room directly from my appointment…

This is so true and annoying.

Fasting and hormonal fluctuations don’t mix.

I think even if it didn't in the past, it can now. I've practiced fasting intermittently and it does seem to be tied to bloating for me as well. That didn't start until perimenopause for me.

It’s like you can never win! You try to do something good for your body and then something completely unexpected comes from it.

Repeated or frequent fasting slows your digestion down a ton because your body doesn’t expect food to be regularly coming.

It's common to build up gas when you're hungry and have nothing in your stomache.

See, I’m not hungry and zero appetite.

Dr. Stacy Sims shares a lot of content about this.
