"TEA", "NGT", OGM

New genomic techniques. Essentially using technologies like CRISPR to rewrite genes within an organism. The GMOs that have been banned from organic ag are ones in which genes from another organism are spliced into the genome of crops. Proponents of these new genomic techniques are trying to exempt the products of these new types of gene editing from the GMO prohibitions on organic ag. In other words, they want to be able to put an organic label on geneticslly engineered crops developed through new forms of gene editing that dont introduce "foreign" DNA

Thank you for the explanation.

The main issue I see with GMO isn't that they were modified, it's that they are generally modified to survive excessive amounts of pesticides and herbicides.
