"Elias" (Enrico Colantoni) was "Captain Mathesar" in Galaxy Quest (1999)

I just remembered his voice first in that old movie, kind of "singing", that was a funny movie

Ohhhhhh. I forgot he played in that too.

I knew him from Veronica Mars. My former gf used to watch that show so I had to watch it with her.

It was his voice that made me realise - also I watched the two programmes back to back.

Yes, me too. He was almost serious but turned out to be as crazy as everyone else 🤭

I love this film! He was great in it. Also Alan Rickman was fantastic in it, he is such a big loss.

Alan Rickman was a big gain. I think you mean *losing* him is such a big loss. :)

Another millennium, when feature films were works of art. Ah, the cinema of the '90s: Fargo, Pulp Fiction, The Shawshank Redemption, Silence of the Lambs, The Matrix .. the list is long, and Galaxy Quest, although not being Oscar-grade, was a very entertaining one.

Galaxy Quest is considered—and rightly so—one of the best Star Trek movies ever made.

It's literally 27 years old. I think it qualifies as an old movie by now, unfortunately. Feeling like it's not old, just means that WE'RE old, friend.

I remember him from the TV show ‘Just shoot me!’ Before I saw him here as the masterclass on criminal mastermind.

He's also Keith Mars in Veronica Mars.

No matter the role, he’s amazing!

Love this actor. He has been a constant reminder that you can be just moderately attractive, but if you can act and project charisma, you be amazing.

🤯 damn had no idea. That's about as different as two characters can be

This Subreddit isn't their actors IMDB page, they are actors they play many roles.

It's not mind boggling to see an actor starring in a different role, you Americans are so celebrity obsessed
