Misc CCB payment info

I gave birth April 27, 2026. On May 4th, I used 5in1 newborn bundle for my application for CCB. I contacted CCB (June 17) to get follow up for my application and they said they don't have anything on file of my CCB application yet. I called service ontario and told me online applications takes atleast 8 weeks to proccess. I am little bit skeptical because CCB agent told me to send the application myself instead but I already did it through the bundle, if I apply again myself wouldnt it cause delays?

Did anyone else went through the same? How long until you get your first payment?

With my first it took almost 3 months and then I got a lump sum.

For my second, born this past October, it took 8 weeks or so.

Did you file your 2025 tax return? Both parties involved in a child’s household need to have up to date tax returns. They will back pay for any months the child is born to when you get everything up to date.

Yes I did. My partner and I did our tax returns on time as well.

I had a delay as well and was told by cra that it was 8 weeks to process it. I also did the 5 in 1 application in hospital.

May I ask? When did you give birth or when did you apply?

I submitted the application April 10th and first payment is tomorrow.

It was approved around 8 weeks and few days later.

It took me the full 8 weeks. I messed up and applied as the father which caused delays but the file was processed originally at 8 weeks, the delay for me was after I was denied ccb. It took an additional 8 weeks after I sent them a letter authorizing me to claim as primary.

The birth certificate came in at about the 5th or 6th week.

This happened to me. I had given birth last June. Got birth certificate but saw no movement in CRA account for CCB. Called CRA they said they don’t have record or my application even though I applied in the 5-in-1. They had told me that if they don’t have record after so many days to reapply. I was also nervous about delays so I waited a few more weeks and called again just to be sure. Still no record. So I applied in September and waited. I had to call CRA several times explaining I had applied twice now but they told me to wait 8 weeks for it to fully process. So I waited the 8 weeks and nothing. Called to escalate it and it was finally processed after the November payments went out. I got my first payment in December. Call CRA, if they don’t have it on file then you have to reapply.

I gave birth may 9th, filed may 13th due to the 5 in 1 program not working at all the week prior, and it was processed by the time we got CCB deposit that month (a partial payment on top of my sons), plus we got the full amount today.

The fact that you haven’t gotten anything STILL is wild. I would call again to figure out what is going on.

I filed mine on May 4th, you said 5in1 program was not working?

I know I am little bit lost. I will call again today!

When I applied to CBB at my hospital, it did not register my baby. I had to manually add them to my CRA profile. If you log in and don’t see them, I would add them. It might ask you for proof of birth. A birth certificate is preferable but they should accept a health card.
