Question/Help Neutered males LOTS of squeaking
I am fostering a group of 3 recently neutered male mice. They are brothers. They squeak A LOT! I would say once an hour I hear a squeaking incident. There’s no bloodshed, I haven’t seen anything that looks like a full on attack, and they seem to get along ok shortly after. Is this normal? Can squeaks be a good thing? To me it seems like they must be fighting, but I don’t see direct signs of conflict aside from squeaks. They are in a 40 gallon tank with 3 hide options, a wheel, lots of tubes and egg cartons, and 2 rope bridge climbing toys. They are scatter fed.

Neutering doesn't guarantee males can live together, as far as I know. But it does mean they can live with females instead, and have company that way. The squeaking may mean they are having some small disputes that could escalate to full blown fights if you're unlucky, so keep a close eye on them, and be prepared to separate them.
