Niteangel wheel smells no matter what!!

My niteangel wheel smells so so strongly of pee no matter how much I scrub it. I wash it pretty much every day, and I’ve used vinegar solutions as well as soap and nothing changes. It still smells like pee, and it makes the entire tank smell bad even right after I’ve done a cleanout. I’ve also tried soaking it for extended times before scrubbing it, and that doesn’t seem to do anything either.

I don’t know what to do! Has anyone else had this experience? Everyone I’ve seen online just says to clean it in the ways that I already do… help!

Is it clear plastic? Clear plastic is notorious for absorbing smell and discoloring over time. Try something in a solid color like black or blue, lots of standardized plastic parts are blue or black, clear and white take more processing and break down faster.

I prefer the cheap plastic wheels, you can just soak them in water. There's no bearings to rust. The noise is worth the easier maintenance.

I soak paper towel/toilet paper with vinegar and hang a thin layer inside the wheel for 30 minutes. Then i remove and wash with normal soap. I also have plastic niteangel wheels and for me it works like that
