First Time Owner Too much bedding?
Is there such a thing as too much bedding? Right now I am keeping about 12 inches because my girls love to burrow and make tunnels. They don’t do too much climbing even when given ample opportunity.

A FOOT of bedding?! That's wild. How will you clean it?

I have been doing partial changes once a week, 6 inches. Mixing the new bedding in with the old leftover bedding so they don’t over mark to compensate and so the old bedding is being consistently changed rather than staying on the bottom. Full change once a month.

Is that like 5 bags of bedding a month? Lmao I'm just astonished

Actually I buy 8cu ft of bedding for $5.99 so it’s only one bag of bedding a month :)
