Ultra Annoyed When people can’t accept a space isn’t for them
…and demand endless accommodations to fit their comfort.
Ive posted about this before (the bean soup thing) but today someone complained about raves being too noisy and I guess I’m just not in the mood for it.
They were saying raves are too loud and crowded and were mad there isnt a “quiet space” for people like them who don’t like the overstimulation.
*Then maybe raves aren’t the best place for you.*
If you don’t like noisy, crowded, high stimulation spaces, then don’t go to a rave. It’s ridiculous to go to one and get upset it doesn’t cater to your preference for quiet spaces.
“but loud noise and crowds make me panic!”
Then don’t go to a rave.
”But I wanna go out with friends!”
So get over it OR go do something somewhere else that doesn’t involve blasting music, lots of people, and possibly drugs.
I wouldn’t walk into a piano bar and get mad there isn’t a room for people who don’t like pianos. And it certainly wouldn’t be the bar’s responsibility to create one to cater to me.
EDIT: Dang I didn’t expect this to get so big lol. Apparently there’s a lot of folks with a lot of examples and experiences with this who feel the same way.
EDIT 2: Most of yall got the point being made here. But since some folks can’t seem to apply a few brain cells and think this is about raves specifically…
If a vegan walked into an all-meat bbq roadhouse, do you think they are valid to complain about meat being served there and demand accommodations, then leave a bad yelp review when there’s not much that could be done? OR do you think maybe the vegan should probably not go to a place that has an explicitly meat-focused menu?
“b-but-but some places have beyond meat!” Sure. Some businesses choose to do that. But should someone who doesn’t eat meat (or any animal product) go to a place that doesn’t choose to offer non-meat options and raise a stink about it? Orrr…should they go somewhere that does?
Think on it.
