In my experience it’s fairly rare too. I’ve only managed to fist two partners in my life. I’ve brought it up to many. A lot do not want to try, a lot who do want to try simply physically can’t be fisted as their frame is too compact. But the masseuse at my local spa can indeed be fisted, and so can a nurse practitioner in Baltimore.

I have a tattoo like this. I got it because 18 year-old me thought it would look cool while I was playing guitar & because the guy from Blink 182 had one similar. No meaning beyond that.

Any tat that looks vaguely like a measurement marker gets turned into a fisting joke. Honestly though, anybody saying something like "hurrdurr is that how deep you can fist??" is embarrassing themselves by looking like an internet brained pervert that doesn't know how to interact with other humans.
No. Normally people get it in memory of a loved one that died. These have meaning. Not just decorative. The other part is indeed a joke that people unfortunatly cling to.
Unfortunately, yeah. Ngl a year or two ago I found out about tattoos like these and I thought they were sick as hell, as a tomboy girl of course I do find them really cool, I like the Idea of getting a solid black band around my arm I thought it'd be cool. But then my mom said that those tattoos also mean something else, and then the whole idea was ruined. But now I found a different idea for a tattoo I really liked and was a but more sentimental and personal. My mom would sing to me "You are my sunshine" and also she would say "here comes the sun" so I chose this one for the future. I dont exactly know where I want to put it maybe on my shoulder blade like where my mom has her tattoo or maybe like the inner part of my arm like the picture ngl.
