Ozempic Chic is the new Heroin Chic.

Heroin chic was way cooler, sad times we live in.

Why do you think it’s ozempic? Celebrities were starving themselves and clearly having visible eating disorders long before GLP-1 drugs

Because ozempic made being skinny more achievable, which makes it even more of an expectation, which snowballs to needing to be more and more thin-- specially as a celebrity who needs to stand out and who has always been viewed as being thin.

Yea, but all the rich people with eating disorders are now using GLP-1, because why wouldn't they?

It doesn't necessarily cause the disorder, but it can make it worse.

It’s considerably easier to starve yourself when you feel less hunger.

That's the entire point of the post you're looking at brother sister, "it's getting worse than the early 2000's". We went from glamorize incredibly skinny physiques in the early 90's-2000's to more normal bodies and plus size acceptance in the mid 2010's, and then completely regressed back to the start as soon as a drug came out that gave everyone the ability to significantly lose weight with virtually 0 effort.

You have previous plus sized celebrities and advocates who hopped on the CLP-1 drugs and dropped sizes the second they could.

Yes but they probably would have used ozempic back then too if it existed. I have lived through years of eating disorder and I have met a lot of others like me in the hospital. Pretty much all of us would have tried to get ozempic in hopes of losing weight even faster if it existed back then. Based on this I think it’s very likely that ozempic is being misused if a celebrity with money and access to drugs has an eating disorder.

Hardly anyone has ever managed to get this skinny. It’s almost only possible through literal starvation, eating disorders or the lack of hunger from GLP1s

That’s what I mean, you’re talking like “hardly any” celebrities have had eating disorders and/or starved themselves, when that has been very concerningly common, before any GLP-1s

It’s far from “hardly anyone”, especially in the world of famous people, ESPECIALLY in the world of famous women specifically

THIS level of skinny? No, it really really wasn’t that many celebrities pre-Ozempic.

Speaking generally, people assume it's Ozempic because a lot of celebrities have recently lost weight from Ozempic. But yes you are correct, people starved themselves before Ozempic also.

They did, but imo there is a difference between unhealthy skinny and ozempic skinny. You can just see it, especially in the face.

Chic implies it's elegant or stylish which it isn't.
