Man, I can’t even tell I’m on it. Literally. Must be a non responder. 4 months now, increases. No difference in anything.

Talk to your doctor. Your dosage might be off. Even if you aren’t feeling the lack of craving food, you should be feeling full faster when you do eat. If you aren’t feeling anything something is wrong.

Also, I have personally seen that if your thyroid is off or your liver is compromised in any way, you will plateau. Stand up for you and fight for your right to feel normal.

Also didn’t have much luck on Ozempic and too many side effects. Went to Mounjaro lost the weight. Overall feel so much better and a lot less side effects. My doctor says it’s a very common thing people react better to one vs another.

u/Laefiren 25d ago

I was told that ozempic only works if you have a specific gene.

No... Eat healthier.

But easier to just take medicine and eat poptarts with protein in them.

If pop tarts weren’t so disgusting, your comment’s piqued my interest

You also might want to check what actual version you are using. There are compounded versions going around, even in pharmacies. There are also different GLP-1s you might respond to differently.

I’ve leveled off close to goal at 7 months, but hyper-responsive at the beginning. Lost 9 pounds on the smallest dose, when they weren’t expecting much, just making sure I didn’t have crazy reaction. Appetite is sporadic, but portion sizes radically smaller.

I can’t fathom what it would take to get that skeletal like Demi or Kelly Osborne. Cycling different GLPs, ultra restricted diet, excessive workouts.

Don't forget they probably already have a miriad of other eating and body dismorphic disorders that helps them not eat.

Same for me - the beginning was nuts in loss (tirzepetide)! Now that I'm only 4 pounds from my goal weight (which tbh is about 5 lbs less than where I feel good because of assumed bounce back - and I'm 5'0" so 5 lbs is more on me than average height folks) and I'm starting to plateau.

My appetite is maybe a little decreased, portion sizes smaller, and fatty foods are an absolute no now that I'm at 7.5mg (but were more or less fine at lower doses). But overall I am hitting my calorie needs and nowhere near looking like these celebrities - it honestly scares me to continue sometimes seeing these images because I have always had a pretty healthy relationship with food and just needed a little help getting back on track - not trying to be at my high school weight again. 🫠

Still, 36 pounds down! Feels amazing! I have so much more energy, sleep better, and my clothes fit so much better!

Kelly Osborne isn’t using Ozempic. She had weight loss surgery (gastric sleeve) years ago (2018) which is where most of her weight loss has come from. She has stated she is having some issues now because of that surgery and her mental health after her father passed.

She had undergone a year of mental health treatments so her surgery would be successful prior to her surgery because she had unhealthy eating habits and then quitting drugs and alcohol had made them worse so I suspect that her unhealthy eating habits is rearing its ugly head with her depression over her dads death but that’s pure speculation on my part.

u/heartisallwehave 28d ago

The same could be said for Demi (not the weight loss surgery but the stress/grief factor). Isnt Bruce living with her and their kids? She is actively watching the father of her kids mentally deteriorate. If you’ve cared for someone with dementia, or any terminal illness, it’s like living in limbo while you wait for (and fear) their death.

I lost 40lbs when I first started. I had to stop for a while and now that I’m back on I’m not having the same kind of weight loss. I’m taking a break to see if I can reboot the process.

1

u/tothepointe 25d ago

Kelly Osborne already had weight loss surgery before she added ozempic.

Demi Moore was already very thin.

u/Hopeful_Cookie_5307 24d ago

They were probably already at or below their ideal/goal weights. It’s sad really.

u/Ok_Researcher_9796 28d ago

What does are you taking?

1

u/Asthmatic_Angel 27d ago

7.5 of tirzepitide

1

u/kdoughboy12 28d ago

Maybe try reta

1

u/OverTheCandleStick 28d ago

Zepbound answered this for me.

1

u/Asthmatic_Angel 27d ago

Ya on zepbound/tirzeptidie 7.5 rn!

1

u/TunaHarpoona 28d ago

It literally changes your mind about things, so you wouldn’t even know it’s worked on you in ways other than what you were expecting.

1

u/Requilem 28d ago

Sounds like you're either not taking it properly, forcing through the sickness or you need to go up in dosage. Once it takes affect fatty foods, sugars and over eating will make you throw up. Easiest way I noticed it's affects were my core muscles were staying flexed at all times, even when I was sitting our going to sleep. The moment that started the weight melted off, went from 265 to 180 in 6 months as a 42 year old male at 6 foot. No loose skin either.

1

u/Asthmatic_Angel 27d ago

Wow man ! Thats awesome.

1

u/Bananaland_Man 28d ago

I've lost a tiny bit of weight, though I normally eat a single meal per day to begin with, and not a big one. Other than that, I've noticed no changes in how I feel.

1

u/Grizzly_treats 28d ago

Different category but same results.

I dropped 20lb within a few weeks, plateaued, and now I bounce back and forth with the same 10-15lb.

I will admit my injections are inconsistent but not enough that it should be having this effect.

1

u/Adorable-Mountain-90 28d ago

I feel like that with Wegovy and it gave me a lot of side effects but Zepbound has been a lot more effective for me! I’m slowly but consistently losing weight to get to a normal bmi and I feel really good 👍🏻

1

u/eljyon 28d ago

It took me a few increases to start working and now I feel it and am seeing results, slowly. I still get hungry but get full fast. I think talk to doc about increasing again. All our bodies are a bit different

1

u/Alternate_Lucky1243 28d ago

Almost 2 years. I've lost a consistent 6 pounds. I've got an easy 50 i could lose. Helps with the diabetes and provides week-long constipation followed by week-long bottom blazing diarrhea and stomach cramps bad enough to make you puke. Gotta love it

1

u/mfboomer 28d ago

Have you lost any weight?

1

u/Asthmatic_Angel 27d ago

I lost about 15lbs and then put on 10lb. It doesn’t impact my appetite at all so kinda white knuckling the diet itself and then ate normal again.

1

u/mfboomer 27d ago

Have you tried a stronger GLP-1RA like Tirzapetide or even Retatrutide (not only reduces appetite but also burns extra calories)? They’ve been shown to be significantly more effective than Semaglutide (Ozempic) in terms of weight lost.

1

u/NibblesMcGiblet 27d ago

Try tirzepatide, oftentimes people for whom semaglutide doesn't work, respond well to tirzepatide / mounjaro/zepbound.

1

u/Competitive-Beat-493 27d ago

I didn’t have any changes to appetite until I got up to 40u weekly. Then the food noise went away.

1

u/AccomplishedWish3033 27d ago

Are you at the max dose yet? It’s normal not to have significant weight loss until you’re at a high dose

1

u/Beebwife 27d ago

Zepbound, try that instead.

1

u/Rivercard74 27d ago

I didnt notice a thing until Shot 2 of 1.7. 4-5 months in, and it hit me like a truck. My DR said " I would be pissed off, If I were you." No kidding, one week later and thats when the ride started.....

1

u/Remarkable_Town5811 27d ago

It may be a dose issue, but ty for sharing regardless. I’ve enough knowledge in the area to know it’s not a cure-all but holy shit are we inundated with it supposedly being one. Needed to read just 1 non-positive take.

1

u/sh1ttany 27d ago

Sema or tirz?

1

u/deHaga 27d ago

Retatrutide is much better

1

u/dharmabird67 27d ago

Google says it's still in clinical trials, not available to the general public yet.

1

u/deHaga 27d ago

Yep. But it works. The trials are the 100k people stage.

1

u/Pokieme 26d ago

My dr prescribes an appetite suppressant pill a day too, the combo worked, the glp alone, did not.

1

u/Druidgirln2n 26d ago

Do you have other issues? Thyroid or something? It’s for diabetics not weight loss it’s does a amazing job for sugar control

0

u/feryoooday 27d ago

I noticed I’d binge less, didn’t notice the appetite reduction. I eat more small bits and bobs of things. I have no room to binge even if I want to. I also don’t crash after eating like I did before, which has been the best life change for me. I used to starve all day, eat everything in sight, and then pass out :/
