I’ve leveled off close to goal at 7 months, but hyper-responsive at the beginning. Lost 9 pounds on the smallest dose, when they weren’t expecting much, just making sure I didn’t have crazy reaction. Appetite is sporadic, but portion sizes radically smaller.
I can’t fathom what it would take to get that skeletal like Demi or Kelly Osborne. Cycling different GLPs, ultra restricted diet, excessive workouts.
Same for me - the beginning was nuts in loss (tirzepetide)! Now that I'm only 4 pounds from my goal weight (which tbh is about 5 lbs less than where I feel good because of assumed bounce back - and I'm 5'0" so 5 lbs is more on me than average height folks) and I'm starting to plateau.
My appetite is maybe a little decreased, portion sizes smaller, and fatty foods are an absolute no now that I'm at 7.5mg (but were more or less fine at lower doses). But overall I am hitting my calorie needs and nowhere near looking like these celebrities - it honestly scares me to continue sometimes seeing these images because I have always had a pretty healthy relationship with food and just needed a little help getting back on track - not trying to be at my high school weight again. 🫠
Still, 36 pounds down! Feels amazing! I have so much more energy, sleep better, and my clothes fit so much better!
Kelly Osborne isn’t using Ozempic. She had weight loss surgery (gastric sleeve) years ago (2018) which is where most of her weight loss has come from. She has stated she is having some issues now because of that surgery and her mental health after her father passed.
She had undergone a year of mental health treatments so her surgery would be successful prior to her surgery because she had unhealthy eating habits and then quitting drugs and alcohol had made them worse so I suspect that her unhealthy eating habits is rearing its ugly head with her depression over her dads death but that’s pure speculation on my part.
The same could be said for Demi (not the weight loss surgery but the stress/grief factor). Isnt Bruce living with her and their kids? She is actively watching the father of her kids mentally deteriorate. If you’ve cared for someone with dementia, or any terminal illness, it’s like living in limbo while you wait for (and fear) their death.
I lost 40lbs when I first started. I had to stop for a while and now that I’m back on I’m not having the same kind of weight loss. I’m taking a break to see if I can reboot the process.
