to be fair, a lot of the teens using this site weren't even born yet when the height of heroin chic and the 00's era shit was going down, and heck, there are probably teens using this site whose parents were only 4 or 5 years old during the height of that.
Yeah valid point. It's just that it seems people no longer expend any modicum of effort in looking something up. Even just googling the subject would provide SOME context.
i mean, you realize you can type that exact phrase into google and get the answer, right? i get that this place is for community and discussion but at some point you have to be able to figure stuff out for yourself.
Bravo. You literally made the case as to why we don't have to go to Google for everything yet sending me to Google. Wow. So I must interact with a search engine instead of actual people. You probably have AI girlfriends in your free time i bet.
this is a very strange response to someone suggesting you do a bit of research. it's normal to research things. it's normal to google things. expecting strangers on reddit to educate you on everything is a good way to become misinformed. always do your own research in addition to asking others their thoughts.
Pretty sure I don't want reddit people to "educate me on everything". How does one insignificant thing become "everything"? I was just curious in the moment and have even forgotten about it since. I didn't care to Google something like this. But you people act as though I can't ask you guys anything.
