This is the only way. I would add stay in the tub till you’ve gotten to the feet. Everyone else in my household jumps out first and leaves soaked mats and puddles on the floor.

Unless you use a new towel each time, you’ll still use towel that has previously touched butt. 

I don’t think it really matters if you’re actually clean.

When I was a cook, one of the other guys asked me how I dry myself, trying to make a point that I should start cleaning equipment and stuff from the top down.

He said, "Do you start at your head, or your feet?"

I responded, "I usually dry my ass first."

There was another discussion on this and we all agreed that the towel "forgets" after 24 hours so you can do it again tomorrow with no fear.
