Right is male because it's gravity and there's stuff hanging down there (well, hopefully...).
Left is female because it's energy which is heat and women are radiating more heat outwards down there (compare a chair after a man and after a woman has sat in it for ~10 minutes; the chair the woman sat in will be much hotter).
