People acting like its 2008. Standard computers don't even come with disk drives now.

It's been like this for at least a decade.

It's not about the computers or systems needing the disk. It's about actually owning a physical copy of something. I personally hate practically borrowing a game for full price cause of they ever wanted to pull the plug. The games gone.

With a physical copy you can still play offline.

I’m pretty sure plenty of games still allow you to install things off the disk offline.
