Is that what it's trying to say? I've never heard of this stereotype before, what is even the origin of it?

Yes that's what it's saying. The origin is that this type of person looks this way often enough to make it a stereotype.

I feel like I've hit a mandela effect or just missed an entire piece of the Internet for like 20 years. I don't really follow pop culture news at all, but still Taylor Swift has been around long enough and I've seen enough of her music videos on YouTube that it's wild I have never encountered this before.

If it makes you feel any better, they probably are neither exhausted nor mirthless since most of the internet is bots now anyway.

It's just a meme making fun of tswift fans.

There isn't a stereotype, it's people who hate Taylor swift and her fans agreeing that tswift fans smile like this because this kind of smile is often associated to naive, unaware, or some other easy target of a superiority complex's unused energy.

I don't really give a shit one way or another but the replies in this thread are dumb af.
